Powell Pugh
editPowell Pugh, a.k.a. the alien elf Pxyzsyzygy (Lex Luthor/Mr. Mxyzptlk).
Powell Pugh is not an analog for Luthor. When the novel came out, Luthor had yet to be revamped as the entrepeneur and Lexcorp had not been introduced. Howard Hughes serve as the template for Powell Pugh.
Superfolks?
editEverything I've ever read about this calls if Superfolks so I don't know where the hyphen has come in. I propose a move to Superfolks (which currently redirects here) (Emperor 14:29, 12 September 2006 (UTC))
- The title is indeed Superfolks. Will Dockery (talk) 14:09, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
- The hyphen comes from the fact that the cover and the binder art say "SUPER-FOLKS".[1] However, the title page, in small print, says "Superfolks". Renaming the article would be appropriate. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 14:38, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
The move is done. A little article clean-up is called-for. :) ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 14:48, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
Author article needed
editI suggest that someone generate an article for Superfolks author Robert Mayer (please note that he is not Bob Mayer or any of the Robert Mayers who currently has an article.) This article in the Santa Fe New Mexican should be a good source for info help establish his notability, and over the years he's accumulated quite a number of reviews from major sources, as well as clear signs of influence and reaction. I would generate it myself, but I have a WP:COI on this, as the publisher of some of Mayer's works. --Nat Gertler (talk) 17:05, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
RIP Robert Mayer
editRobert Mayer passed away today (obituary here). If we cannot generate an article for him, at least we should include his lifespan following his name in this article. I will not do this myself, as I have a strong conflict of interest, being the publisher for much of his work. --Nat Gertler (talk) 20:48, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
