Alvean is a sugar trading firm. As of 2023, it was the largest sugar trading firm in the world,[1] and in 2021 Reuters reported that the firm was responsible for 20% of the sugar trade.[2]

Alvean was created through a joint venture between Brazilian firm Copersucar and American firm Cargill.[3] Cargill sold its stake in Alvean to Copersucar in 2021.[2]
Mauro Angelo became CEO of the firm in July 2023, replacing Paulo Roberto de Souza.[4]
