Tux Guitar - Open source guitar tab player and editor

"TuxGuitar is a multitrack guitar tablature editor and player written in Java-SWT, It can open GuitarPro, PowerTab and TablEdit files."

I mainly use it to play guitar tabs from https://guitarprotabs.org/ , it is also easier to learn guitar songs like this instead of reading them from paper or text file, since you can directly play them and see the notes and tabs at the same time, plus you can edit them or compose your own guitar songs. I'm more an amateur and not really composing anything serious, but it is a nice tool to have.
