The FDA has approved AstraZeneca’s capivasertib, in combination with the oestrogen receptor antagonist fulvestrant, for adults with hormone receptor (HR)-positive, HER2-negative locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer and one or more biomarker alterations in PIK3CA, AKT1 or PTEN.
