Abstract

Technical Committee 7 of IFIP was created first to establish a bridge between group of mathematicians and engineers working in modeling and optimization in the east and west countries. With changing world it became an important scientific group stimulating research in modeling and optimization. This note is trying to summarize activities of the Technical Committee over the last 50 (and more) years.
