Dr Nicos Souleles has lectured and taught in Art and Design since 1995. His interests and expertise cover educational research, technology-enhanced learning in art and design, design education, design for social change, and curricula development and quality control. With a group of friends and colleagues, he co-ordinates the ‘Art Design: elearning lab’ (DESIS network), working on funded research projects in multi-literacies, curriculum development for the Third Sector, and cultural and arts entrepreneurship for marginalised women. -- www.elearningartdesign.org

b) followed by a transitional period with the first articulated concerns on AI, ethics and academic integrity, and
c) the subsequent period following the widespread adoption of ChatGPT.
The demarcation among these periods is blurred. However, the post-ChatGPT time is more straightforward to define as it has introduced pressing new discussions and challenges to the forefront, not least regarding academic integrity and AI.
