Dumb lil rant but I kinda hate how fanon wise people make the lamb almost always be involved in the bishops dysfunctional family problems and even willing to help out

Like yea yea different lamb interpretations exist ik but I feel like this post I made on my art thread in the massive monster discord is a very point that I think the fandom should reflect on even just a little bit

cult of the lamb cult of the lamb critical < ig?? idk it just feels a bit icky to me like ik the lamb is a blank state but im not rlly the biggest fan of watering them down to an accessory to Nari or some sort of therapist to Nari and the Bishops ( tbh idk how common this is ) I’m also not super into bishop torture ( nari torture is a slightly diff story ) and idk why more ppl don’t just have the lamb be like: I’m not dealing with your bs gtfo of my cult like I feel like that would be a fitting punishment for both the bishops and nari basically having to fend for themselves in the lands of old faith which are still very much dangerous and being stuck in mortal ( and depending on if nari was killed or spared semi mortal for him ) bodies cosmic chatz

i have a lot of lore abt her but some general info

  • does not like most of the bishops ( leshy is kind of the exception ) and HATES Nari. I'm toying with the idea that Solange ends up kicking the Bishops & Nari out of her flock for her mental health ( she only kept them around bc she'd feel bad but it gets to a point where its either keep them around and have her mental health/sanity suffer even more or kick them out so she can heal )


  • polyam ( in my current save i married Aym, a follower named Lavender and Jalala ( not sure if the Jalala relationship will be canon though )


  • loves and cares for her flock but didn’t really want to be a cult leader in the first place. If not for the fact she would have been killed Solange would have given Nari the crown so she could leave the lands of the old faith and try to find a place to call home.


  • on a small side note i hc she isnt the last sheep ever but definitely the last sheep in the lands of old faith and the areas close to it. Sheep are still very rare however ( especially what would be considered " purebred " sheep )


  • voice claim is Sam Boole from PN2 ( example here )


  • moral code is a bit loose. She doesn’t exactly like to sacrifice their followers ( she much prefers ascension which she primarily does for her elderly followers ) but has little to no issue with sacrificing/killing off spies along with other things.


  • wanted to be an artist or a baker when she was younger ( They technically achieved the baker part as post game she starts growing wheat and making bread/pastries for her followers )

Btw there’s no Narilamb at all in this canon/au Solange just straight up hates his guts ( and the other bishops too though she is on somewhat good terms with leshy and she acts cordial around them ( not Nari though ) ) with no possibility of reconciliation or even rlly redemption in general ( both for Nari and the Bishops )

I’m not fucking around when I say she depises Nari btw bc when she realized bc he has immortality he’ll outlive his siblings she felt it was karmic punishment for him.

She also won’t let Nari take his own life either so Nari has to die by someone else’s hands and she sure as fuck isn’t gonna do it even if he grovels and begs

tldr she wants him at his lowest but not in a sexy/romantic way with the bishops she’s already seen them at their lowest and she’s fought them twice so it’s why she’s more cordial with them but with Nari fighting him that one time wasn’t enough for her she needs to see him absolutely broken oh and Solange also blames him for the sheep genocide ofc she knows the bishops ordered it and she doesn’t forgive them but she also believes Nari was the core if the reason it happened in the first place if that makes sense cult of the lamb cotl
