Français : CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) est un terme appliqué au système respiratoire qui signifie en français: "Pression Positive Continue". Cette abréviation désigne les appareils de respiration assistée (ventilation) pour traiter certaines maladies du sommeil, en l'occurrence le syndrôme d'apnée obstructive du sommeil. (→CPAP)
Nederlands: CPAP is de afkorting van Continuous Positive Airway Pressure, 'voortdurend positieve druk in de ademwegen'. Het is een vorm van ondersteuning van de ademhaling bij mensen met longproblemen maar ook wel bij mensen die lijden aan slaapapneu. (→Continuous Positive Airway Pressure)
