BACKGROUND: - Neonatal asphyxia is a major cause of mortality and morbidity. This study is therefore intended to determine the magnitude of neonatal asphyxia and associated factors in the study area.
Objectives: To assess neonatal asphyxia and associated factors among neonates on labor ward at Bule Hora University Referral Hospital, southern , Ethiopia,2020
Methods: Health institution based analytical cross sectional study using systematic sample technique was conducted at BUGH from Fe, 28, to May 28, 2020. A sample size of 227 Neonates were proposed for the study and observation and interviewer administer questionnaire was used for data collection
We entered the data to EPI INFO and we translated to SPSS for window version 19.0 for the data analysis. Investigators collated the data with the assistance of supervisors using.
Result: - Data on neonatal asphyxia (low APGAR score) were collected from 227 new born and their respective mothers making response 100 %. This study revealed that newborns that were asphyxiated (APGAR score ≤ 6 ) account 40%.The predicted probability using  logistic regression showed that teenage pregnancy ,twin pregnancy, grand multipara , low birth weight , breech presentation ,intrauterine meconium stained, instrumental and  cesarean delivery are more likely to be the risk factor for asphyxia .               
Conclusion and recommendation
Neonatal asphyxia (low APGAR score ≤6) was generally high (40%).To alleviate this problem reducing teenage pregnancy, early nutritional support for pregnant lady, increasing skilled birth attendants in each health institutions and strictly follow each laboring mother during labor and delivery are some of the recommendations forwarded.

The study entitled "A study to evaluate the effectiveness of Planned teaching programme (PTP) on knowledge regarding cardiac rehabilitation among staff nurses working in ICCU of Heart foundation of KLE's Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital and MRC, Belgaum. The objectives of the study were 1. To assess the knowledge regarding cardiac rehabilitation among staff nurses working in ICCU of Heart foundation of KLE's Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital and MRC, Belgaum. 2. To evaluate the effectiveness of PTP on knowledge regarding cardiac rehabilitation among staff nurses working in ICCU of Heart foundation of KLE's Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital and MRC, Belgaum. 3. To find the association between the pre test knowledge scores with selected socio demographic variables among staff nurses working in ICCU of Heart foundation of KLE's Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital and MRC, Belgaum. Methods: The conceptual framework of the present study is based on Ernestine Wiedenbach's helping art of clinical nursing theory. The study was conducted using one group pre test post test design. Demographic variables analyzed for the study were age, gender, years of experience, professional qualification. The study was conducted using purposive sampling technique on a sample of 40 staff nurses. Structured questionnaire were used to collect the data regarding cardiac rehabilitation among staff nurses. Finding of the study: The Pre test and post test Frequency and percentage of knowledge scores of subjects regarding CR revealed pre test (47.5%) subjects had poor knowledge (47.5%) had average (5 %) had good knowledge where as in post test all the subjects (100%) had good knowledge scores. Effectiveness of planned teaching programme (PTP) was assessed with paired't' test it was revealed that there was significant gain in knowledge at 0.05 level. In the present study the association between the pre-test level of knowledge with selected socio-demographic variables was calculated using chi-square (χ2) test there was no association found between selected demographic variables and pre test knowledge scores. Interpretation and conclusion: The study findings were that planned teaching programme (PTP) is effective teaching strategy to improve the knowledge regarding cardiac rehabilitation among staff nurses. There is no significant association between the knowledge scores with socio demographic variables.

Background: Broadening access to healthcare (ART) antiretroviral therapy has led to a 19% reduction in the death rate of people infected with the human immunodeficiency virus. This study would also describe the status and deciding factors of ART in (TB) tuberculosis centers in public hospitals of Benishangul-Gumuz, Ethiopia, for (LTFU) lost follow-up among (RVI) retroviral infected patients. Methods: Hospital-based, unrivalled analysis of the case management (3:1) design was conducted. A total of 752 study participants (563 controls and 189 cases) Picked by systematic random sampling methodology, and where reviewed their charts from TB Centers. Data were entered and cleaned using Epi data version 3.1.1 and then exported to SPSS version 22 for analysis. To analyze the statistical relationship between the outcome variable and independent variables, binary logistic regression was used. Relevance was declared at a p-value <0.05. Results: A total of 1122 (25.3%) were LTFU. Among index cases with male cases, there were higher odds of lost to follow up (AOR= 1.68, 95% CI; 1.085, 2.609), 15-24 old age group have no formal education, civil servant were also having high comparatively. In index cases with identified parents, the risk of LTFU up had lower HIV status (AOR=0.5; 95% CI; 0.24, 0.997). Rest all variables showed low odds to LTFU. Conclusion: A large number of patients enrolled in ARTwere missing from follow-up at TB centers, but unfortunately did not make the next appointment reported. The absence of prophylaxis was accepted as an independent determinant of LTFUfor ART.

Background:COVID-19 has been a cause of worldwide alarm and a pandemicas The World Health Organization announced the outbreaks.Education is important, but Covid-19 made it too difficult. Only teachers can protect students by adhering to guidelines in order to ensure a safe and secure educational environment.This study was to assess the knowledge on prevention response and preparedness of Covid-19 among teachers of Bule Hora University, Oromia Region, Ethiopia. To have a safe environment for the students to have quality education by following all the guidelines. Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted in Bule Hora Universityon academic staff.Simple random sampling technique was employed to select 421 teachers as study participants from various colleges. The data were collected by using a pretested structured self administered questionnaire. The collected data were exported to statistical package for social science (SPSS) version 25.0 for analysis.

Introductions: To meet immunization goals, two things must happen: effective vaccines must be delivered through a well-controlled cold chain environment, and maximum utilization must be accomplished. In both developed and developing countries, there is a lack of knowledge about cold chain management. Maintaining vaccine effectiveness is currently one of the most challenging problems facing African immunization initiatives, particularly Ethiopia. But there is very less data related to cold chain management in this part of the world done before.

Introduction: The production of waste is due to the result of commercial activities, consumption, and utilization of products or materials. It is further believed that mainly solid waste includes non-harmful waste which may be from households, mainly kitchens, and even from organizations and institutions, shops and various types of markets, and manufacturing industries. Solid waste handling, management, and accurate and appropriate disposal is a hot topic relating to public and environmental health concerns. Methods: A cross-sectional quantitative study design was incorporated to assess knowledge, attitude, and practice and associated factors regarding prevention of occupational risks and health hazards among sanitary workers in Bulehora University, a government organization in West Guji Zone, Ethiopia. One hundred and ninety-one solid waste handlers found to be working in this institution were included in the study. Results: The response rate of samples in the present study was found to be 94.4%, of which the majority were females, which accounted for 79.7%. The median age of the study samples was 29 years. It was found that 64% of study samples stated good knowledge of the prevention of occupational health risks. About 76.4% of solid waste collectors had a good attitude and only 8.9% showed good practice regarding prevention of occupational health hazards. Job dissatisfaction was found to be a statistically significant factor along with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in implementing good practice work patterns among sanitation workers, even though they had been provided with basic personal protective equipment. Conclusion: The study concluded that there is a need for development of plans on implementation of basic occupational health services while enforcing the provision of personal protective equipment and supervising solid waste collectors.

Introduction: Personal protective equipment is a set of actions, which are required to prevent infections from bloodborne, or body fluid-borne infection. Objective:-. The main aim of personal protective equipment is to protect health workers (nurses) and patients from infection. Therefore, this study aims to assess the knowledge and practice of nurses towards Personnel protective equipment in public hospitals of Belagavi, Karnataka. Methodology: The institutional based cross-sectional study design was conducted on 200 randomly selected nurses. Collected data were coded and analyzed using the Statistical Package Social Science version 22 and the result was presented with texts, figures, and graphs. Result: A total of 200 participants responded making the response rate 100%. One hundred ninetytwo (85.2%) of the respondent had good knowledge towards personal protective equipment and the overall practice of personal protective equipment was 72.2%. Conclusion: In this study, the majority of the respondents had good knowledge and practice regarding Personnel protective equipment.
