Our Work in the Community
Our work is rooted in strong collaborations and partnerships with the community. We work closely with local organizations that are activating community-centered solutions to address housing affordability, homelessness, education, and more; and that are building community power. We also connect organizations and leaders so that they can work together, share knowledge, and identify collaborative responses to issues facing the community.
Capacity Building at CZI
In addition to grants, capacity building can support organizations to navigate change and better achieve their missions. We build trust with grantees to understand the organizational challenges they face, and build programs to meet their needs related to operations, finance, technology, organizational culture, and more. Through trainings, cohorts, and 1-1 advising, nonprofits can scale their work and adapt to constantly changing environments. Working together with our grant partners and experts in organizational development, we co-design and provide capacity building programs that build healthy, resilient, and sustainable organizations.
