Linda Roland Danil
I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2009, LLB Law (Hons) and went on to study for my Masters in Gender Studies (Research) at the University of Leeds, 2010. in 2010, I was awarded a full scholarship by the University of Leeds to pursue my doctoral research in the School of Sociology and Social Policy, which I completed in 2015.
I was a teaching assistant/lecturer at the School of Sociology and Social Policy, University of Leeds, for five years, and taught on the following modules:
Central Debates in Welfare (Level 1)
Social Welfare and Social Change (Level 1)
Introduction to Race (Level 1)
Current Issues in Society (Level 1)
Crime, Law and Regulation (Level 2)
Globalization: Equality and Diversity (Level 2) (Lectures only)
Ethnicity and Popular Culture (Level 3)
Sociology of Health and Illness (Level 3)
Organized Crime and Violence (Level 3)
I have also lectured on Globalization: Equality and Diversity; Crime, Law and Regulation; and Social Welfare, Social Change.
I have further provided guidance for undergraduate dissertations in the School of Sociology and Social Policy, University of Leeds. I have also been the main tutor on the Access module for mature students run by the School in the summer.

In 2017, I was awarded a scholarship to travel and attend the Transnational Summer Law Institute in Sydney - King's College London and UNSW Sydney (December 2017).
Research placements:
2012: Leeds Social Sciences Institute, University of Leeds Research Assistant bursary to work with Children’s Services at Leeds City Council, specifically to examine the national “Troubled Families Programme” at a local level.
2013: Leeds Social Sciences Institute, University of Leeds Research Assistant bursary to work with, and write an evaluation for RETAS (Refugee Education Training Advice Service).
2023: Full funding to attend the Society for the Social History of Medicine’s workshop, ‘Precarity in the Academy: Issues and Solutions for the History of Medicine' (26, 27 and 28 June 2023).
