As the world has entered the 21st century, discussions about corporate social responsibility have endured within business and law. However, today's exciting questions are not about whether corporate social responsibility should exist but how it should exist. Companies wishing to continue in the market need to pay attention to the desires of the population and the new practices of consumption and priorities. Not only companies that are part of the Stock Exchange or Funds, but all companies need to pay attention to this movement, from micro-companies to multinationals from all sectors, as ESG is a movement that in the future will encompass everyone. However, investors often complain that the availability and quality of company-level ESG disclosures are not sufficient to make informed investment decisions. In response to this gap between the demand for ESG information by investors and the provision of accurate information by companies, several countries have started mandatory ESG disclosure regulations to force companies to disclose information on traditional ESG financial disclosures or in specialized independent reports. I present here the opinions of authors for and against mandatory disclosure and current scenarios in Brazil, the United States, and Europe concerning disclosure. I present my conclusion regarding the need for not only better regulation by the securities commissions regarding ESG matters, but also the need to ‘raise the bar’ of what we currently have by the working together with the various regulatory entities and policy makers that cover the ‘E’, the ‘S’ and the ‘G’ issues of companies for an effective improvement of the planet as a whole.

In the sense that all people can negotiate about so many different things, it is understood that knowledge about the fundamental negotiation process becomes essential for those who interact with people. The negotiation process is present in virtually all types of relationships between people and in the most diverse situations. We are all negotiators by nature, and we do it almost every day. Likewise, the idea of AIKI (harmony of energies) is also present in our daily lives for the same reasons. Thus, we can say that Aikido is not only practiced within the four walls of the Dojo, but must, to be effective, be practiced outside of it.

No sentido de que todas as pessoas podem negociar sobre tantas coisas diferentes, entende-se que o conhecimento sobre o processo fundamental de negociação torna-se essencial para aqueles que interagem com as pessoas. O processo de negociação está presente em praticamente todos os tipos de relações entre pessoas e nas mais diversas situações. Somos todos negociadores por natureza, e quase fazemos isso todos os dias. Da mesma forma, a ideia de AIKI (harmonia de energias) também está presente em nossas vidas diárias pelas mesmas razões. Assim, podemos dizer que o Aikido não é apenas praticado dentro das quatro paredes do Dojo, mas deve, para ser eficaz, ser praticado fora dele.

O texto apresenta algumas definições que se fazem necessárias para uma colocação técnica do assunto, tais como: o que é recurso mineral; o que é recurso mineral energético; o que são reservas. Dentro das possibilidades geológicas, talvez haja um certo abuso de termos geológicos, daí a forma bastante simplificada usada na redação. As estratégias de prospecção estão embasadas numa política global de governo para a Região Norte. As estratégias de exploração e as perspectivas econômicas são colocações do autor e passíveis de muita contestação. Os dados de reservas são oficiais com informações disponíveis até 1988; já os energéticos contêm números mais recentes – 1991, extraídos de informes da PETROBRÁS e outros. As colocações estão descritas com uma abordagem aqui considerada de superfície, pois a Região Norte pode ser classificada como um intracontinente geológico dentro do continente do Brasil.
