Sahar Abi-Hassan
My research focuses on the judicial behavior, and the groups the lobby them. I recently finished my dissertation, which examines the influence of interest groups’ coalition strategies on the behavior of Supreme Court justices. My broader interests include the behavior of U.S. political institutions, political analysis, and quantitative political methodology. In my research, I apply the tools of network analysis and maximum likelihood estimation. In 2017-18 I served as the Quantitative Methods Fellow, and in the past has served as a teaching fellow for various introductory political science courses. I am currently teaching my own course, focusing on the intersection in law and political science focused on the courts as political actors and their influence in making public policy.
