Here's my philosophy about rules and play:
Games keep you mentally young.
The nature of play is to keep learning new rules.
When we're children, we spend most of our time trying to figure out the "rules" of the world. How does life work? What happens if I tip over this cup? What happens if I push another kid? Why do we wait at a red-color light?
And when we STOP learning new rules, we feel like it's because we've mastered them.
But here's the thing... the rules of life are ALWAYS changing. And if you don't have the personal flexibility to change your understanding, you grow ossified. Stuck.
Mental youth is the ability to adapt, to learn and to understand new rules as you grow.
My games are about things that interest me. They're fun-creating engines, and they generally have a fantasy or sci-fi setting. I love animation, film, cosplay, magic, science, virtual reality and immersive theater.
Let's have fun!
