Eoin O'Donoghue
My research focuses on Italy in the first-millennium BC; my PhD considered gender identities in Archaic Etruria, chiefly examining masculine identity and looking at gender and social identity as operating (and intersecting) through a system of hegemonic masculinities. A revised version of this is nearing completion as a monograph. I am also an active field archaeologist presently involved with two projects in Italy, the American project at Murlo and the Canadian excavations of a Romano-Punic sanctuary site on Pantelleria.
