After his physical body dies because of a car crash at the measly age of 19, Ichigo presumes he'll be able to move to Soul Society and continue life as a full-time soul reaper now that he's properly dead. However, he is mistaken, as almost immediately after his soul splits with his body, the gates of Hell open up and drag him into its fiery depths. Now stuck in Hell for good, Ichigo attempts to make the most of his new life and along the way meets some people he thought he'd never see again.

And thanks to the pieces of the King-Ō consumed by him, he is given a chance for revenge, but he would not return alone, he returned decades before Aizen's plan, but with Aura Michibane in his company and possessing the body of the Hybrid Hikone with his host and so the hilarity of this abrupt change in the life of this ancestral hollow and his mother-I mean caregiver and partner-follows!

Ichigo checked the boy over carefully; he’d been burnt by Yamamoto’s reiatsu before, though the old man had claimed it was an accident, and Ichigo had never believed him. Satisfied he wasn’t physically injured, he let the boy sink into his embrace again, resting his head on Ichigo’s shoulder. They sat quietly for a long time, giving the boy a chance to recoup his strength. “What’s your name?”
“Riki.” His voice was still soft, shifting closer to Ichigo and snuggling into his warmth. Ichigo’s heart clenched as he was reminded of Yuzu, though a fully grown woman, terrified and curling into his side for safety. Karin, ever the one to put on a brave face, had stood sentinel in front of them, hands on her hips and eyes keeping a vigilant watch out for any enemy. “What’s yours?”
Ichigo hummed thoughtfully; he supposed he should really use a different name here. It would do no good to get the war and meet himself looking almost identical and sharing the same name. “Katsuro.” He said eventually. “Shiratori Katsuro.”

When I died, I wasn't sure what I was expecting.
Would I be immediately put in front of the big man himself, all of my sins laid bare before me? Would I be in front of the pearly gates, ready to go in? Would I immediately be surrounded by fire and brimstone for an eternity as punishment? Would I just be surrounded by the big white void of Purgatory? So many scenarios buzzed through my head in the short time it took to open my eyes.
