Raashid Nehal
Prof. Raashid Nehal is Professor in the Dept.of English at Aligarh Muslim University. He has served as Director at AMU Kishanganj Centre, Kishanganj Bihar. He has also served the Centre for Distance Education,A MU as Asstt.Director in addition to performing various administrative assignments .He has been teaching ELT and Communication skills courses over the last 26 years .His research and teaching interests are professional communication skills, ESL writing,teacher training and Needs Analysis.
He previously served the Dept. of English at Rajiv Gandhi Central University, Arunachal Pradesh, India. He has a Ph.D. and an M.Phil .in ELT from AMU and postgraduate Diploma in Teaching of English (PGDTE) from EFLU, Hyderabad. He has been Visiting Faculty at IIT Dhanbad and was on external Faculty at EFLU , Hyderabad.
He has published 32 papers and has made 45 paper presentations for national conferences /seminar and workshops. He has done E-courses on Teacher Development and ESL /EFL Assessment from Indiana University’s School of Education and University of Oregon , USA. He has worked as workshop coordinator, teacher trainer,resource person,master trainer for more than 60 national and international,TOT workshops including RELO American access program and for UGC HRDC AMU.Besides ,he has been invited to deliver talks and as plenary speaker for various National and international seminar,conferences and workshops.
He has organized more than 30 faculty Development workshops at AMU and at its Kishanganj centre too. He has completed UGC projects on Academic Writing and Training Needs analysis (2010-12) and has also been the Project Coordinator for Hornby Alumni Regional India Project )2003-05). Aligarh Regional on Materials Adaption, funded by the British Council’s ELT Group and Hornby Trust, UK. As part of the Kindle Assessment Project team, Prof. Nehal has completed a RELO project on Kindle Mobile Learning Initiative (2013) funded by American Centre, for English Access Microscholarship Program (EAMP) Centres in India in association with UGC, HRDC Centre, AMU. He has published in the areas of teacher Education, ESL writing and needs analysis. His recent publications include Training Needs Assessment of Secondary School English Teachers in Aligarh, Technology-mediated language teaching through a kindle-based mobile learning initiative in India: The Access experience in British Council Documents ,Investigating pragmatics awareness in language Forum. He has authored a book on writing for Audience and edited a volume on Critical Pedagogy . Currently,he is reviewer of Sage journals on ELT. He has been Program Advisor &Resource Person : Training Program for Madarsa Teachers(1-15 March,2020).Centre of Excellence in Public Policy &Govt. IIM Kashipur IIM Kashipur in Collaboration with Maulana Azad Foundation, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt.of India.Recently he has launched Online English Training & Tutorial Program for Madarsa and Minority Teachers(OETPMT April20-June15,2020),the first of its kind in India under the aegis of OETPMT group.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella's statement on CAA has triggered a sharp reaction from BJP think-tank. They reacted as "How literate need to be educated!" But it doesn't seem possible that CAA won't evoke such a massive international response. CAA protests are related to India's immigration or refugee policy vis -a- vis another country's immigration and the issue of religion is not such a primary concern as that of bringing unfair ground of who gets citizenship or who is excluded? Govt. of India says the issue of CAA is geographical not religious as it pertains to Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. At a time when the ruling Govt is literally waiting to see the dust of CAA protests settling down, Kerala Govt files a plea in Supreme Court challenging CAA. Shaheen Bagh, New Delhi becomes the major talking point as the protests takes an unprecedented iconic turn to the call given by women in all age groups triggering similar protests being held at Praygraj, Gaya and elsewhere. But the issue of market policy, liberal values and secular ideals of Indian Constitution generate economics that is not very complex to understand. It would not be very surprising about the statement made by the PM of Malaysia Mohathir Mohammed that he is ready to sacrifice his country's economy in favour of anti CAA stir. He is critical of India's CAA as anti-Muslim when Malaysian Palm oil companies are suffering massive losses by not exporting them to India. India is also Malaysia's biggest importer of palm oil in 2019, with 4.4 million tons of import but the figures may go down below 1 million in 2020, if relations are not bettered. By contrast China criticizes India for not taking care of the minority citizenship rights when China itself has jailed one and a half million muslims and has a dismal record of ethnic cleansing. China fears any danger to Muslim minority in India would directly affect some section of muslims in China.
Henceforth, economics of this nature is critically linked to immigration issues when Satya Nadella says "I would love to see a Bangladeshi immigrant who comes to India and creates the next unicorn in India or becomes the CEO of Infosys, that should be the aspiration… my hope is for an India where an immigrant can aspire to found a prosperous start-up or lead a multinational corporation benefitting Indian society and the economy at large," Noted Historian Ramachandra Guha advocates Nadella's position on CAA. As much as the economy is a major concern for any corporate organization, security of the citizens particularly is of equal concern.
Corporate organizations in an international scenario must be speculating about the impact of anti CAA stir on international market economy especially when the inflation in India touches an all-time low. Layoffs continue, record fall in automobile industry, Govt's overregulation and growth slows down yet our corporate giants have not even reassured the economic forecasters in India as nothing would go wrong in the wake of such protests. The crucial issue is "who is affected?". This is crucial in the light of the setback Indian economy is suffering from. Do the corporates have the humility to live up to the strategic international market conditions where the aspirations of immigration economy are taken care of?

Finally ,the paper takes the view that in view of the need for bicultural or multilingual communication or a tolerant attitude language pluralism,the possibility of multilingual research paradigm could have implications for language Teaching which would facilitate building core courses as Methods,Materials, Contrastive and Discourse Analysis,Testing and structures of English etc and teacher training packages(Sridhar,2002).
• A research report is considered a major component of any research study as the research remains incomplete till the report has been presented or written. The problem is people do not read the entire report or if they read they do not read in full. Generally good writers but have little or no experience at writing this type of research report. It may also be helpful to people who are experienced at writing this type of research report but whose reports are not as readable and effective as they might be Livingston (2012). No matter how good a research study, and how meticulously the research study has been conducted, the findings of the research are of little value unless they are effectively documented and communicated to others

This study investigates how basic writers locate and correct errors under two conditions: with feedback and without feedback. It analyses the editing performance under
different conditions, on different tasks. The focus of the
study is on the editing process of written work of second
language undergraduates to see whether functional variables
affect the editing process.
