In this study, a model has been proposed to generate diverse sequences of virtual samples for a new subject. These sequences are thought to enrich the training set in order to increase robustness of recognition with respect to individual variations and improve generalisation to the new person. In the manifold-based parametric motion model, the trajectory of the source person has been used to estimate and conduct the virtual facial expression vectors of the target person. In the recognition experiments, images are represented in the lower-dimensional feature space, whereas the virtual vectors are generated in the feature space. The accuracy of the independent system shows the effectiveness of samples in improving the performance of the system based on the limited data of the new person. The accuracy of seven expressions is 90.65%, which is an improvement over the baseline model, which is 86.11%, and represents a significant (P < 0.05) improvement over the baseline method, which is 83.4%.

We used the Collation of Connectivity Data on the Macaque Brain (CoCoMac) and calculated the degree distributions, transmission coefficients, connection density, clustering coefficients, path lengths, and modularity. Our results showed that the TCL and cortex exhibit exponential degree distributions, and the ratio of efferent/afferent connections in the thalamus is smaller than 1.0 This may support the notion that the connections received by the thalamus from the cortex play a key role in improving information processing in the conscious states. The average values of transmission coefficients for the cortex and TCL were found to be equal to 1.49 and 1.28, respectively. This indicates that: (i) the cortex is a system that mainly transmits information outward rather than receives it; (ii) the TCL is a cooperative system that performs this in a give-and-take manner; (iii) connections of the cortex are denser than those in the TCL, showing that the cortex might be advantageous for processing of complicated information during consciousness; (iv) both the TCL and cortex are small-world systems; (v) the scaled value of the characteristic path length in the TCL is smaller than that in the cortex, which implies a higher speed potential for information processing in the TCL than in the cortex; (vi) the scaled value of the clustering coefficient is nearly the same in the cortex and TCL, and (vii) the number of modules is 5 in the cortex and 6 in the TCL.

We tried to present a model for basal ganglia structure in order to generate stride time interval signal in model output for healthy and PD states. Because of feedback role of dopamine neurotransmitter in basal ganglia, this part is modelled by "Elman Network", which is a neural network structure based on a feedback relation between each layer. Remaining parts of the basal ganglia are modelled with feed-forward neural networks. We first trained the model with a healthy person and a PD patient separately. Then, in order to extend the model generality, we tried to generate the behaviour of all subjects of our database in the model. We performed a behavioral experiment and video tracked traveled trajectories of rats. Then, we investigated the effect of deep brain stimulation of subthalamus nucleus on their behavioral movements. Therefore, fast and precise algorithms for the signature verification are very attractive. The goal of this paper is modeling of velocity signal that pattern and properties is stable for persons. With using pole-zero models based on discrete cosine transform, precise method is proposed for modeling and then features is founded from strokes. With using linear, parzen window and support vector machine classifiers, the signature verification technique was tested with a large number of authentic and forgery signatures and has demonstrated the good potential of this technique.
