    In the ecommerce services, there is a very important tool that will determine the success to increase number of buying and selling in the marketing target, that is how the user in finding products that are suitable to be purchased. This tool is called recommender system. Recommender system is important tool for establishing an effective communication between users and retailers in ecommerce business. Effective and enjoyable communication to find the product is considered to have a significant impact that increase of marketing achievement. Recommender system established in the mid-90s. Based on technical approach, there are four types of recommender system namely Collaborative, Contents Based, Knowledge Based and Demographic filtering. Collaborative filtering is considered to be more superior than another two methods. It offers obviously advantages in terms of serendipity, novelty and accuracy. Although it has some benefit. However, there is a critical problem in collaborative filtering that called cold start. It is a major problem to which many researchers have paid much more attention to this particular research interest. In response to this particular problem the critical review and analysis on state of the art of the current technology, some possible solutions including approach, method and techniques used have been identified but they need further validation.

    Advertising is an attempt to increase sales. Along with the growth of mobile telecommunications technology, advertising paradigm has changed from the conventional media to mobile advertising, because the ads can be accessed anytime and anywhere. In the present advertising SMS sent in the form of broadcast to the user. The user interface is text-based applications, user profiling obtained at random and relatively expensive cost by the recipient of advertising. This is exactly what makes advertising less attractive to the user so that the ads have not been appropriate to the target. Weaknesses of mobile advertising application system caused the system to accommodate the application is not the principle of good advertising, among others, the ability to display compelling ads, ads with a two-way communication, user interface according to the principle of HCI, the cost is affordable to the community and the ability to detect the behavior of consumers. With the development of programming technologies on mobile devices are increasingly sophisticated, the capacity of GSM networks that adds greater reliability, increase computing capabilities on mobile devices, the ability of the application which is expected to be realized. Detection of user behavior and interactivity capabilities have an important role in generating targeted ads. Behavior of the user who performed at the time of receiving advertising will form a pattern that can be translated in the index of consumer behavior. The pattern was the subject of analysis to determine targets for advertising of a product to prospective customers need, so ads will be more effective and efficient. INTISARI Periklanan merupakan sebuah upaya untuk meningkatkan penjualan. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi telekomunikasi mobile, paradigma periklananpun berubah dari media konvensional menuju periklanan mobile. Hal itu dilakukan karena iklan dapat diakses kapan saja dan dimana saja. Pada masa sekarang iklan dikirim dalam bentuk SMS yang di-broadcast kepada pengguna. User interface aplikasi berbentuk teks, profiling pengguna didapatkan secara acak dan biaya yang relatif mahal ditanggung oleh penerima iklan. Hal tersebutlah yang menjadikan iklan kurang diminati oleh pengguna sehingga iklan belum tepat kepada sasaran. Kelemahan sistem aplikasi mobile advertising disebabkan sistem aplikasi belum mengakomodir prinsip periklanan yang baik antara lain kemampuan menampilkan iklan yang menarik, komunikasi iklan dengan dua arah, user interface yang sesuai prinsip HCI, biaya yang terjangkau oleh masyarakat dan kemampuan mendeteksi perilaku konsumen. Dengan perkembangan teknologi pemrograman pada perangkat mobile yang semakin maju, kapasitas jaringan GSM yang semakin besar sehingga menambah reliabilitas, pertambahan kemampuan komputasi pada perangkat mobile maka kemampuan aplikasi yang diharapkan dapat diwujudkan. Pendeteksian perilaku pengguna, kemampuan interactivity serta cara penayangan iklan terbukti mempunyai peranan penting dalam menghasilkan iklan yang tepat sasaran. Perilaku pengguna yang dilakukan pada waktu menerima iklan akan terbentuk pola yang dapat diterjemahkan dalam indeks perilaku konsumen. Pola tersebut menjadi bahan analisis untuk menentukan target-target iklan atas suatu produk kepada calon konsumen yang membutuhkan sehingga iklan akan lebih efektif dan efisien.     The development of recommender system research has expanded to various applications. Recommender system issues can be analyzed from many perspectives such as user rating strategy, user preferences and text mining. User rating strategy and user preferences are associated with user behavior to find suitable recommended items. Text mining is considered the most related field to database management and web search queries. The relation to the database query, it needs suitable query algorithm web search and user profiling strategy. Our paper survey showed that Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA) method has a better chance to solve recommender system issues especially in web search and user profiling. By comparing with restaurant samples, we describe adequate measures to evaluate the recommender system quality in user profiling. Some algorithm can provide benefits to improve the quality of personalized recommendations that are tailored to user attributes. Further research can provide newer algorithm to handle cold start problem and sparse data from both text mining and mining computation perspectives.
