Sustainability is understood as a dynamic balance in economic, environmental, and social dimensions to fulfll all human needs for all generations at all times. However, with the increasing signs of losing the dynamic balance between socio-economic human living and the rest of Nature, the survival of the human species itself is in question. Eforts being made worldwide through the United Nations to restore this balance have shown marginal impacts at ground level. Though Nature, when observed closely, is easily visible as a dynamically evolving self-sustainable system, but, generally this fact is not considered/overlooked while planning sustainable developmental activities. Therefore, in the present paper, an efort has been made to uncover these inherent characteristics of Nature responsible for its dynamic sustainability. Various well-established pieces of evidence from ecological and modern sciences, arguments, and philosophical and spiritual aspects are discussed
which show that there are fundamental characteristics of Nature i.e..—interconnectedness and coexistence that exist everywhere even at a sub-atomic level. These characteristics are essential for designing/achieving sustainable development programs. Based on the evolved characteristics, a holistic co-existential model ensuring dynamic sustainability for all generations at all times is proposed

All human beings inherently aspire for happiness, prosperity and its continuity both within us and with the outside world which includes other human being and the rest of Nature. But, at the same time most of us feel contradiction in themselves and it is common to see such a widespread conflict, violence and strife at every stage, not only in human-to-human interactions but also in human-to-Nature interactions. This way most of us are forced to live in contradiction. What is the way out of this dilemma, we are aware that great visionaries have proclaimed that there is an inherent unity in the Universe under the apparent diversity. If this be the real truth then, the important question arises-How can we facilitate the understanding and realization of this truth? If we can move in that direction, it will be really a tangible progress towards promotion of peace and harmony. The present investigation is dedicated to this objective whereby an attempt is made to explore various sources and evidences which include direct observations, the study of ecology, the Gaia theory, the implications of some revolutionary developments in modern sciences and finally, the understanding emerging from spiritual philosophical domains. All these sources tend to strengthen the conviction that there is inherent interconnectedness, self-regulation and coexistence in entire Nature/Existence of which the human being is an integral constituent. It also highlights an important fact that the human species can fulfil their role in this harmony only after proper understanding and realization of this truth.

All human beings inherently aspire for happiness and prosperity and their continuity. In the heart of our hearts, all of us want to live in peace and harmony both within ourselves and the outside world, including other human beings and the rest of Nature. But, our common experience in real life is that we see such widespread conflict, violence and strife at every stage, not only in human-to-human interactions but also in human-to-Nature interactions. Many a time, we get swayed by the impression that ‘survival of the fittest' is the law of Nature, and we ourselves also are driven to behave that way.  Accordingly, most human beings are forced to live under the influence of these two conflicting paradigms; peace and harmony prove elusive.
What is the way out of this dilemma?
We are also aware that great visionaries, saints and seers have all proclaimed that there is an inherent unity in the Universe under the apparent diversity. If this is the real truth, then the important question arises – How can we facilitate the understanding and realization of
this truth? If we can move in that direction, it will be really tangible progress toward the promotion of peace and harmony.
The present investigation is dedicated to this objective, whereby an attempt is made to explore various sources and evidence which include the study of ecology, the Gaia theory, the implications of some revolutionary developments in modern sciences and finally, the
understanding emerging from spiritual, philosophical domains.
All these investigations tend to strengthen the conviction that it is inherent
interconnectedness, self-regulation and co-existence in the entire Nature/Existence of which the human being is an integral constituent. It also highlights an important fact that the human species can be a part of this harmony only after properly understanding and realizing this truth.
The question of understanding the apparent conflicts in the correct perspective is also dealt with in some detail and finally, the ways and means to realize this harmony and implement it in real life are also discussed in this work. A thrust on this aspect by appropriate
modification in the education pattern stands out to be the crucial step to promoting peace and harmony in the world.
