Currently, nurses’ job performance in Nigeria’s public healthcare system has been called into question and is under more pressure due to the current global COVID-19 pandemic. In enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency and promptness of Nigeria’s public healthcare service delivery, this study seeks to explore how work engagement could play a key role in explaining the influence of organisational commitment on nurses’ job performance. A survey-based questionnaire, using a simple random technique was employed to collect data from 406 nurses working in public hospitals in Kaduna State, Nigeria. The data were analysed employing the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM). Entrepreneurial practice has been observed to be the bedrock of economic growth and development of any nation. Of course, there are a number of factors that contribute to students inclination towards entrepreneurial practice. As such, the study seeks to examine the effects of entrepreneurship education and family business background on Kaduna State Polytechnics students inclination towards entrepreneurial practice. Cross sectional research designs and simple random sampling technique were utilized. 497 copies of questionnaires were administered to the National Diploma (ND) students of the Kaduna State polytechnics, Kaduna, Nigeria but only 457 were returned representing 91% return rate. Background: In today's dynamic and competitive environment of business, maintaining and retaining human capital have become a global challenge to human resource managers. In spite of a number of researches carried out in the past, employee turnover rate in the banking sector still persists. Research Objective(s)/Hypothesis(es): The study examined the mediating effect of affective commitment on perceived organizational support and employee turnover intention in Nigerian commercial banks. Data and Methods: cross sectional research designs were employed using questionnaire. Data were collected from staff of 10 commercial banks in their respective headquarters. Data collected were analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS)-Structural Equation Model(SEM) Findings: The findings show that perceived organizational support has significant negative effect on employee turnover intention in Nigerian commercial banks. Also, the findings reveal that affective commitment partially mediates the relationship between perceived organizational support and employee turnover intention Concluding Remarks/Policy Recommendat ions: The study thus recommended that the management of Nigerian commercial banks should pay attention to employees' wellbeing by designing a well-encompassing rewards and compensation package for them.
