The Apple: America’s Sweetheart

We recently moved into a house that has an apple tree in the backyard. I mean, yes, a real apple tree.

Honestly, I was sold on the house when I saw this tree. It ‘s a Fuji apple tree – my favorite type of apple! Since getting settled in, I have dubbed the apple “America’s Sweetheart” -- they’re just so crisp and clean and taste like home to me (even though I’ve learned that the apples we enjoy today came over to this continent from European settlers).

With my new tree urging me on, I’ve been paying tribute to America’s Sweetheart by trying out as many apple recipes as possible. I have had a great deal of fun playing with sweet and savory tastes and my husband and friends haven’t quite gotten burned out on all of my new treats...yet. From classic apple pie to tasty apple turnovers, and apple jam to applesauce, the apple takes center stage in an amazing variety of dishes.

    When I saw this tree, I was sold on the house. It's a Fuji apple tree, which is my fave! Since Buy A Coursework
