The photo is of our 23-pound mutt named Barney with his winter haircut. When I get him shaved for the summer, he looks like a different dog. More Barney photos: summer, winter, winter, and hipster wearing one of my crocheted wool beanie hats. Our vet jokingly called him a Miniature Bearded Collie, which is a non-existent species.

In the spring of 2021, we moved from West Toledo to downtown Perrysburg, Ohio, which is a community that borders the Toledo suburbs of Maumee and Rossford. Longitudinally, our Perrysburg house is 1/100th of a degree further west. The two locations are nearly lined up, vertically. Through the air, our Perrysburg house is located 10.7 miles south of our former West Toledo home. It's a 14.5 mile drive that takes about 20 minutes to make. We didn't move far. I lived in West Toledo for nearly 20 years.
