Widya Teknik is a scientific publication in the fields of engineering mostly in the electrical/ electronic engineering, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, computer science, information technology and engineering related topics.

 

Type of paper

  1. Research Article – Article is a research paper which report the results of original research work conducted by the authors. The article and the materials included should not have been previously published elsewhere.
  2. Review Article – Review articles related to engineering field is fit in the scope of the journal and can be submitted by modifying the journal section and subsection to fit the review.

 

Ensure the following items before submitting your work

At least one author has been designated as the corresponding author, the e-mail address and full postal address of the corresponding author has been provided.

Include keywords, all figures and tables has been provided with relevant captions, ensure all figures and tables citation in the text match the files provided.

Author contributions

There are several roles that included in the author contribution taxonomy. Please refer to the article template for example, the taxonomy of author contribution also can be found online from other sources.

Conflict of interest

Statement of conflict of interest is mandatory. Corresponding author must disclose any potential conflict of interest including the grant or funding, honorarium, patent application, etc.

Acknowledgment

Acknowledgment section should be placed at the end of the article before the references. The individuals that can be included in the acknowledgment are including the individuals that providing language help, writing assistance, financial support, etc.

For funding source, it can be written as follow:

References

Please ensure that each reference cited in the text is present in the reference list, and vice versa.

In text citation guide:

  1. Single author: write the author’s last name without initial and publication year. Example: (Widya, 2022)
  2. Two authors: write both author’s last name (without initials, unless there is ambiguity) and publication year. Example: (Wijaya and Sapto, 2023)
  3. Three or more authors: write first author’s last name followed by “et al.” and publication year. Example: (Widya et al., 2024)
  4. Direct citation in text without parenthesis – First author’ last name followed by “et al.” and publication year in parenthesis. Example: Sapto et al. (2023) have recently reported that … .

 

List of references – The list of references should be provided at the end of the article and be arranged first alphabetically and then further sorted chronologically if needed.

Figure and table

Figure and table should be placed next to the relevant text and not in the bottom or top of the submitted paper. Do not provide the table as an un-editable figure. Table should be provided and editable as text, caption of the table should be placed before the table. Number tables consecutively in accordance to their appearance. Use the Arabic numbering without including the section number.

Caption of figure should be provided after the figure. Number figures consecutively in accordance to their appearance. Use Arabic numbering without including the section number.

Ensure the text in the figure is readable, if any.

Equation

Equations are including the reaction and mathematical model. They should be written as an editable text (not a figure). Include consecutive numbering according to their appearance.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. DOI for references must be provided when available.
  4. The article has been prepared in accordance to the template of Widya Teknik; and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
