- Zeyrek is a picturesque but poor neighbourhood of the Fatih district of Istanbul, Turkey. It takes its name from the huge and prominent Zeyrek Mosque which started life as a Byzantine church and sits on a plateau, overlooking the Golden Horn. Busy Atatürk Bulvarı runs along the south side of Zeyrek which sits above the Cibali neighbourhood. To its north is the Fatih neighbourhood. Fevzi Paşa Caddesi runs along the western side of Zeyrek. The centre of Zeyrek forms part of the Historic Areas of Istanbul World Heritage Site. Some of the old wooden houses here were restored in the early 21st century. The closest tram stop to Zeyrek is Cibali on the T5 tram line. The closest Metro stop is Vezneciler on the M2 line. Many buses lough up and down Atatürk Bulvarı. (en)
- Zeyrek é um bairro de Istambul, Turquia, que faz parte do distrito de Fatih. Encontra-se ao lado dos bairros de Balat e Fener, numa zona alta virada para o Corno de Ouro. O seu nome provém de um dos seus principais monumento, a Mesquita de Zeyrek, que no período bizantino era a igreja do Mosteiro de Cristo Pantocrator. É um bairro pobre, mas muito pitoresco, onde ainda se encontram muitas casas tradicionais otomanas de madeira. Além da mesquita de Zeyrek, encontra-se também no bairro a pequena (em turco: Şeyh Süleyman Mescidi; "Pequena Mesquita do Xeque Süleyman"), a qual também fazia parte do Mosteiro do Pantocrator, e diversas cisternas bizantinas.
