- Mijo Babić (* 6. September 1903 in Nova Bukovica, Königreich Kroatien und Slawonien, Österreich-Ungarn; † 3. Juli 1941 in Berkovići, Unabhängiger Staat Kroatien), genannt Giovanni, war Beauftragter der Abteilung III des Ustaša-Kontrolldienstes (UNS) für die Errichtung, Kontrolle und Organisation der Konzentrationslager im faschistischen „Unabhängigen Staat Kroatien (NDH)“. Als führendes Mitglied der faschistischen Ustaša hatte er maßgeblichen Anteil an den Terrormaßnahmen gegen Serben, Juden und Roma. Vor allem war er zuständig für die Errichtung der Konzentrationslager Slana und Metajna, die sich beide auf der Adriainsel Pag, nahe der gleichnamigen Stadt befanden. Sie gehörten zu den berüchtigtsten südosteuropäischen Konzentrations- und Vernichtungslagern, vor allem wegen der in Metajna verübten Verbrechen an Frauen und Kindern. Nach seinem Tod im Jahr 1941, übernahm Vjekoslav „Maks“ Luburić die Abteilung III des UNS. (de)
