- The American University of Europe - FON (AUE - FON) is a private university with headquarters in Skopje, North Macedonia. It is the second private university established in North Macedonia after the liberalization of the High education law's in 2002. After its establishment great number of professors from the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje transferred to the new university and contributed to building a better educational system in the Republic of Macedonia. AUE - FON University is an autonomous, private, non-profit, scientific, and higher education institution, established in the year of 2003 as a Faculty of Social Sciences. The founder of the first private university in the country is Mr. Fiat Canoski, MA. In 2007, with the introduction of new academic areas, the institution became the First Private University-FON. As a result of the significant growth in its development and the great interest for education, apart from Skopje, FON-University opens three dispensary departments in Strumica, Gostivar and Struga. Still functioning to this day is the dispensary department in Struga. Following the world trends in higher education in order to adapt to the interest, needs and requirements of students, in 2020 the university rebranded and renamed itself into the American University of Europe-FON. For the past 19 years of its existence, the University has been constantly investing in its growth and advancement, because we are aware that investments in education drive innovation, create new values and are a key tool for transformation. Thus, with the continuous investments today, the American University of Europe-FON sets world standards and conditions for the academic development of each individual, stimulates competition and contributes to the shaping of the employment market. As a leading higher education institution in private education, the American University of Europe-FON, has faculties that offer teaching of higher education in the first and second cycle of studies, and will soon begin with a third cycle of studies, which allows students to be educated by the best academic teaching staff from the country and abroad. In addition, the University combines knowledge and experience, research and practice, and the multidisciplinary approach we apply has a strategic role in meeting the needs of entrepreneurship and adapting students to the changes the world is facing today. Since its establishment to this day, more than 9000 students have completed their higher education at the first and second cycle of studies at our university, which is a number of respect and proof of the realization of the university efforts to provide knowledge verified with diplomas that are equally valued abroad as well as in the country. - Die private Universität FON wurde 2003 als die erste private Institution für akademische Bildung in Nordmazedonien gegründet. Der Hauptcampus befindet sich in der Hauptstadt der Republik Nordmazedonien – Skopje und umfasst eine Fläche von 30.000 m². Daneben hat FON auch Bildungseinrichtungen in Struga, Ohrid, Strumica und Gostivar. Die Universität FON verfügt über acht Fakultäten:
* Rechtswissenschaftliche Fakultät
* Fakultät für Politikwissenschaft, Diplomatie und Journalismus
* Fakultät für angewandte Fremdsprachen
* Fakultät für Wirtschaft
* Fakultät für Informatik
* Fakultät für Detektive und Sicherheit
* Fakultät für Sport und Sportmanagement
* Fakultät für Design und Multimedia Das Studium an den Fakultäten erfolgt in Übereinstimmung mit der Bologna-Erklärung und ECTS. Es gibt Bachelor- und Postgraduiertenstudium und das Doktoratsstudium befindet sich im Prozess der Akkreditierung (2010). Die Universität ist dreisprachig, Vorlesungen und Seminare erfolgen in mazedonischer, englischer und albanischer Sprache. Im akademischen Jahr 2010/2011 wurden die Lehrstühle für spanische und türkische Sprachen besetzt. Die Universität FON arbeitet mit der Universität Skopje und Universitäten der Türkei u. a. der Trakya-Universität zusammen. Die Universität FON ist Mitbegründer der ACEU - Alliance of Central Eastern Europe University. Seit dem akademischen Jahr 2010–2011 kann an der Universität FON und dem Europäischen Institut für Höhere Internationale Studien (IEHEI) im zweiten Zyklus des Studiums ein Doppeldiplom im Bereich der europäischen Integration und internationalen Beziehungen erworben werden. Das Studium sieht Studienaufenthalte in den Niederlassungen des Europäischen Instituts in Nizza, Rom, Berlin und Istanbul vor. Die Universität ist Mitglied im Netzwerk der Balkan-Universitäten. (de)

Son siège se trouve à Skopje et elle a été fondée en 2003, après l'entrée en vigueur d'une loi autorisant les établissements d'enseignement privés. Ses deux campus, situés à Skopje et Strouga, accueillent plus de 5 300 étudiants et 250 enseignants. L'université FON est la première institution d'enseignement de Macédoine à avoir adopté le processus de Bologne et le système européen de transfert et d'accumulation de crédits. (fr)
- Университет ФОН (макед. ФОН Универзитет) — частный университет, главный корпус которого находится в Скопье, Северная Македония. Это второй частный университет, созданный в Северной Македонии после либерализации закона о высшем образовании в 2002 году. После его создания большое количество профессоров из Университета Святых Кирилла и Мефодия в Скопье перешли работать в этот университет и внесли важный вклад в создание лучшей системы образования в Республике Македония. Сегодня у университета 10 факультетов с 170 преподавателями и 90 человек технического персонала. Университет является первым высшим учебным заведением в Северной Македонии, которое полностью выполнило Болонские требования и Европейскую систему перевода и накопления баллов.
