CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - Chatham County residents affected by the Ogeechee River flooding can go get sand and sandbags Saturday.

Sand, bags and limited filled sandbags will be available on a first come, first served basis Saturday at Border Equipment of Savannah, located at 5905 Ogeechee Road from 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Residents must provide their own shovels.

For those affected by flood waters and need a place to park your vehicle, Chatham County and Walmart have partnered to provide a place to park.

Parking will be available at the Walmart at 6000 Ogeechee Road until the water recedes.

Officials say vehicles should only be parked in the spaces indicated in the picture below.

Walmart is not responsible for lost or stolen property/items left in vehicles. Please secure all parked vehicles. No camping or sleeping in vehicles will be allowed.
