Horses rescued from floodwaters in Bloomingdale

BLOOMINGDALE, Ga. (WTOC) - Two horses and six dogs owned by a 74-year-old woman were all rescued from Huckleberry road thanks to a group of good Samaritans.

Jake and Henry are now safe at a farm in Newington named BS Farm.

Now Jake and Henry are vacationing there until the owner Janice can make arrangements for a place closer to her.

A social media video of the rescue gained so much traction it led to another rescue with help from more locals on Elm road in Bloomingdale.

All those involved give a big thanks to David Win from the Animal Rescue Group, Red Squadron 912.
