Myself, a practising surgeon with more than 12 years of experience, faculty at leading and top ranked medical college of India and an avid researcher. My areas of interest include general surgery, emergency & trauma surgery, laparoscopic surgery, global surgery, hernia, breast & endocrine, cancer surgery, urological surgery, innovations in surgery, clinical trials, surgical education & skill development, surgery in LMICs. I am currently on the Editorial Board as Associate Editor for BMC Surgery (BioMed Central, Part of Springer Nature); Journal of Medical Case Reports (BioMed Central, Part of Springer Nature); Clinical Case Reports (Wiley) and Review Editor for Frontiers in Medicine (Gastroenterology). I have handled 120+ manuscripts as Associate Editor for these Journals. My other academic roles are Consultant (Global Surgery)- WHO Collaborating Centre for Research in Surgical Care Delivery in LMICs, Collaborator for NIHR India Hub studies and faculty for various courses like ACCC, Laparoscopic training, Surgical skills. I have authored/co-authored 85+ manuscripts and keep encouraging juniors for research work. I am passionate about high quality research and I am Principal Investigator/ Co-investigator for various studies.
