17 Goals to Transform Our World
The Sustainable Development Goals are a call for action by all countries – poor, rich and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and environmental protection.
GOAL OF THE MONTH
Limited progress has been made on the ambitious targets of SDG 16, which promotes peaceful and inclusive societies, access to justice for all. While people everywhere should be free of fear from all forms of violence and feel safe no matter their ethnicity, faith or sexual orientation, alarming trends are observed and threaten the achievement of the rest of the 2030 Agenda.
