Let it be in my own words: I, Engineer Mohammed from Gaza, write:
- My wife’s first act after the ceasefire agreement is announced will be to walk through the streets, crying.
- Layan’s first act will be to visit her school, my cousin’s grave, and my uncle’s grave.
- Sarah wants to stay out in the street until midnight, without fear.
- Adam wants 100 shekels to buy many things and toys and to visit the beach.
- And all of them want to go on a long drive in the car.
- As for me, I just want to cry and sleep for a long time.
- To cry for dozens of loved ones, and to sleep for the first time without fear—because we are truly exhausted.

Additionally, there are preparations underway to hand over the Rafah border crossing with Egypt under European supervision. We hope this happens soon so that Layan, Sarah, and Adam can return to school and education after traveling.

My name is mahmoud mohammed jaafar jaafar i studied computer engineering and graduated from university in 2023 i worked as a software engineer in a local company here in gaza unit the war started, then the company got destroyed and became unemployed and our house is destroyed partially and became inhabitant to live in but nevertheless we stayed in it because we do not else to go i currently live in north gaza where is a scarcity of food and i have 3 brothers and 4 sister one of them died while he was trying to find food for the family so i am the eldest in my family now i have to provide a living for them

-> Millions of left wing Americans join a Chinese platform out of spite against racist, radical right Congress
-> Chinese users are very welcoming (they aren't left or right wing because there's a sole ruling party in China)
-> Chinese users and American users get along exceptionally well, and bond over cats and respectful questions
-> American users chose Rednote over Meta because of censorship

Vine went away cuz it couldn't afford to stay active
TikTok went away because congress RIPPED it away from us. It let to many activist groups connect faster than ever before; it let too many voices of dissent be heard louder than ever before; and most importantly it was more popular than Facebook, Twitter( cuz fuck that X bullshit), and instagram.
I understand losing both of these platforms hurt, I was alive for vine's death to. But don't let yourself be fooled into a falce equivalence.
