I was double billed for my Wix…

I was double billed for my Wix subscription. I paid for the Premium Core and then got an email for a Premium Business subscription upgrade. Wix billed me for both subscriptions simultaneously! I was charged nearly $700 for one year of Wix hosting!! When I realized the mistake it took me an hour to figure out how to contact Wix beyond the chat bot and I recently got an email that I was denied a refund. I appealed the decision and reported a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. This has me researching other website hosting platforms once my subscription expires. Honestly I liked and trusted Wix until now. I may change my mind but they need to refund me the $457.92 first. Money doesn't grow on trees!!

Never again

Never again. Denied a refund as I am no longer going to be operating my business as planned. I was two days outside the refund window which I didn’t even know existed. I was immediately denied. I’m now out $216 for something I’m not even going to use.

Dreadful Customer Service, even once you get in touch with an actual human!

I had a large payment come out with no warning. Every other year I have had emails telling me when payments are due. Not this year! Nearly £200 has gone out without any warning, a month before Xmas!

And, when I tried to speak to someone, it was all dreadful.

First, there is the infuriating AI Chatbot that doesn't understand a word you say. I have audio processing issues so I can't do phone calls. Every time I asked for an email or live chat, it ignored me and told me to 'Request A Callback'.

When I finally reached a real person (still not sure how I managed it!), he was extremely nonchalant about my issues and blamed it on my email provider. When I told him about my experience with the Chatbot, he completely ignored me.

The website design features are really easy to use but it is not worth the complete lack of humanity you feel when speaking with the customer service team. If you actually get to speak to them!

I have now cancelled all my subscriptions to them and will never use them again.

EDIT: With help from my partner, I have found that other people in the same boat as me have successfully received refunds. I have sent a request in and, if I receive it, I will add this information to my review.

Customer Service is the worst!

While Wix as a platform is easy to use and offers valuable features, BUT the customer service experience has been extremely disappointing!!! Cancelling a subscription feels like navigating a labyrinth! frustrating and unnecessarily complicated. I had repeatedly requested to disable auto-renewal when I no longer needed the sites, yet they continued to bill me month after month!!!

When I finally discovered what was happening, I contacted customer service to request a refund, as the subscription should have been stopped a while back. However, my refund request was denied without any explanation. This lack of accountability and transparency is incredibly frustrating.

Although I once appreciated and even recommended Wix for its usability, this experience has left me deeply dissatisfied. I will now actively discourage others from using Wix, citing this example as a warning about their poor customer service and lack of care for loyal users.

The entire experience was a disaster

The entire experience was a disaster: payments were chaotic, refunds were unclear, and the site was frustrating.Navigating through the cumbersome process felt like an uphill battle. Each attempt to complete a transaction brought with it a new set of complications. Customer support was elusive, often leaving me stranded without answers. The website, far from user-friendly, seemed to glitch at every turn, making what should have been a straightforward purchase a maddening ordeal. Even when I managed to get a refund, it was like deciphering a cryptic puzzle with vague emails and inconsistent timelines. The entire affair left me exasperated, questioning whether I would never choose to engage with their services again.

Biggest scam we ever seen

Biggest scam we ever seen

We used Wix payments on our website and after received email that they want extra documentation we change wix payments to Paypal and Stripe (we had 397$ on balance)

We received mail from Wix Support Team that we will get our money on 21 October 2024, and then when we did not receive money we write to support team again and they will help us get money asap, and on 25 October 2024 they get all our money and sent refund to all customers (customers received their products many months ago)

Daylight robbery

They sneakily put up the price from £50 a year to £129 and won't allow me to cancel and get a refund.

Edit: After I posted this, they got in touch and have given me a refund as a 'one-time courtesy'. However, this was still an unpleasant experience which I wouldn't want to repeat.

Very unhelpful staff

Very unhelpful staff, was more interested in getting my money than actually helping me with my logo. Didn't explain that it was non refundable even when I asked if it was wrong, could I get a refund? I was told that they would sort it out. It is still wrong and now they are saying it's correct on their end so there is nothing they can do. They also do not tell you that the logo you are buying has to be put on their clothing range!!! I can't use it to put on any item I wish.......Total rip off AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Auto renew “didn’t turn off”

Recently discovered that a wix subscription service fee has been coming out of an old bank account for the last 3 years, this subscription was cancelled many years ago when the business closed. Spoke to customer service advisor ‘Nick’ who basically said there’s no refunds and sent a load of terms and conditions. Also said the following “We are confused about the reason of you calling in regards of this matter this late and not once you realized you had one of the first charges if not the first“. Nick has no idea of my personal circumstances and I took that sentence very patronising and rude. Not the outcome I expected from such a large company.

The worst company we have ever used

The worst company we have ever used! Bought a domain to use thinking that was it I could now build a website to attach to this but next thing they want another £400+, I ring up to cancel the domain and get a refund and they say they can’t give me one! This is not possible they are just scamming people out of money!

Wix STEALS your money and then won't credit your account.

I paid for a Core plan (annual) that renews May 2025. I decided that at the time of my renewal, I would like to downgrade to the Lite plan because I will no longer need the features in the Core plan. When I completed the downgrade, their system said that my account will downgrade to Lite May 2025. When I refreshed my account, it had already downgraded my site. I lost all of the features of the Core plan. No refund. No credit. I chatted with two of their reps asking them to simply put me back on the Core plan until I renew (as their website said would happen). I was told they could not do that.

The first representative was no help. He had no clue what he was talking about so I ended that chat and started a new one. The second one advised me to request a refund. I did as I was told and it was denied.

So, I have paid for a Core plan and they have me on a Lite plan and refuse to refund/credit me or put me back on the Core plan as before.

I currently have event registration running on my account in which I have Facebook Ads promoting it. Because I'm on the Lite plan no one can sign up for my event unless I pay $87 to upgrade back to the Core plan.

When I asked the representative, why do I need to pay again for the Core Plan when I've already paid for it, he had no answer. I will be disputing this with my bank... and posting this on every online platform that I have, including over 10k news subscribers and 20k social medial followers.

Customer Service was amazing

We were granted a refund due to extenuating circumstances when our website autorenewed by mistake. They were helpful to us and went against their own renew policy to make it happen. We are so appeciative.

Unbelievable experience and I kept…

Unbelievable experience and I kept reading bad comments but over shadowed the bad with all the good and it was a horrible mistake. My account within the first 4 days of me owning and paying for it got shut down for allegedly "suspicious activity". It took the almost a week to correct their mistake and I got my website back finally. Then my website over night within a week later actually got hacked and my email and password was changed. There is no two step authentication for changing the email apparently so it was changed effortlessly. I contacted support only for then to tell me the account doesn't exist under the email provide. OBVIOUSLY MY WEBSITE WAS HACKED. Their protection works so well at blocking me because I used a vpn. But when someone hacks my account nothing is flagged. The website I payed for and put together is still up to this day linked to all of my business information and I don't know what to do. I want a refund and to be done with this nightmare.

Excellent Customer Service

Reached out for help to cancel a redundant subscription purchase, which was my fault. The help agent went out of the way to resolve the problem in a prompt manner and provided me full refund. Very much appreciate their help and communication done in good faith and will very highly recommend Wix.

Disgusting

Avoid Wix, do not subscribe or use them. It is one of those disgusting companies who makes it extremely difficult to cancel subscription and straight up refuse refund even if they legally should. I cancelled my subscription within 5 days, so way in their 14 days cut out time, asked for refund and they just refused it. No explanation. Asked again, refused again. No way to contact them to resolve any issues only their useless robot. Shame on you all at Wix, disgusting company!

Great Features, Better Service

I love the website for its features, but love went through the roof today when I thought I had been charged twice, but had an additional service that I don't use or need. The bot got me to someone in customer service and it was a seemless process to cancel the added feature and get a full refund. Means a lot to a small business owner. Customer service is everything.

Worst experience ever

I have never seen such unfair and greedy company like this before! They took my money without any permission using their hidden automated system and when I called them to get my money back they put me in a very long loop to keep my money in their account as long as possible without any reason!! And whenever I talk with them they say such bla bla and too much lies. Never ever get an account with them again. And they didn’t even pay me the refund till now it took more than two months and we still counting . Totally bad service 💩👎🏿👎🏿

Poor customer service

Poor customer service.
Had just renewed a 3 year plan when disaster struck and had to stop trading.
Flat out “no” to even a partial refund.
Shame on you Wix, greed isn’t a good attribute.

clearly i have 60 days to verify my account and they just made up their mind one days and suspend my account and refunds all my hard work money to customers how cool is that!!!! due to they could not verfy my account WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING A F***** POLICY SAYING I HAVE 60 DAYS TO VERIFY BUT AT THE END ITS EVEN 30 DAYS YET THEY ALREADY SUSPEND MY ACCOUNT AND REFUND TO CUSTOMEERS!!!!
