The worst customer service ever... Don't waste your time with these loosers...

Google transferred all our domains to Squarespace. There is zero help or customer support. Always the chat is overloaded, never been able to chat after many days trying, all they want to do is email you and start a case, you get canned emails and no one understands you or what you need. We have been testing building a website there but with this horrible support all I want to do is transfer all my domains to a company that will at least spend a little money on human support. I have lost over 8 business hours over the past 3 days. Just don't waste your time with these loosers. The worst customer service ever...

Absolutely THE WORST customer service…

Absolutely THE WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I was repeatedly given useless, incorrect info, then gaslit incessantly about it. They were totally unable to answer a simple direct question about a gallery block. A GALLERY BLOCK!!! This is basic, basic, basic. The incessant replies that held no valid info or solutions was not ok. It's also not ok that after emailing with 5 different poeple and asking each one of them to please put me in touch with a supervisor, as I was concerned that 5 out of 5 people could not answer a VERY CLEAR, direct and simple question. I was never put in touch with a supervisor and no one cared that 5 'customer service' agents were repeatedly giving me incorrect, irrelevant info wasting both my time and sanity.

Honestly, if I had the time I'd change companies - it was THAT bad.

I also find their service extremely lacking in template options and simple visual services.

Overall I would not recommend SQUARESPACE. Overpriced, underserved, with painfully weak customer no-service.

There are organized crime syndicates with better customer support

I promise, you have never received worse customer support. If I had to choose whether to deal with this their support team again, or fly 12hrs on a plane where every seat had a crying baby, I would take that flight round-trip.

I thought I was a part of some inside joke by their support team, because it was miraculous how many people sent me the same useless support message. Word for word, from 8 people, regardless of my response. I actually hope it was a gag, at least then it would prove they are capable of a coordinated response.

I will be deleting my account and god help you if you choose Squarespace, I pray you never have to meet their support team.

Amateurs

This is a total joke.
Google sold all my domains to this shoddy outfit.

Now that they are up for renewal these clowns suspended my services because apparently google did not give them the payment information.

Simple stuff, one would think in 2024 - however these clowns are unable to create a proper logon experience and CS does not seem to be aware ...

They just tell you to log on via google. however these amateurs then send a veriofication code by email , which never arrives - not in my spam not in my inbox.... so i cant log in. no alternative provided either .....

They also proudly announce: we dont offer any phone support .... well done chaps !!!

======

Update:

Jesus .... all i can say is: stay clear! their support is awful and they do not at all help. I am trying to spend more money with them, but they are making its extremely hard. i will move all my domains to a different provider

Could not be worse

Could not be worse. Our problem (which is related to the SquareSpace purchase of Google domains) could have been easily and quickly resolved in one phone call -- but there is no phone contact, only email. Those monitoring the Customer Service email are slow, if they respond at all, and do not solve problems. SquareSpace registered two organizational domains created in a personal Google Workspace account by a now retired volunteer who is unable to transfer ownership to the organization. We are desperate and get only bureaucratic answers from the Customer Service group.

Zero customer support

This is the worst company. I am sorry I ever used them for domains. Oh yeah, I didn't, I used Google and then they sold their domain management to Squarespace. There's no support at all. Their website says E-mail is the preferred solution but when you send them an email they say email support is not supported. Their chat agent is the worst, doesn't work properly on mobile and has a very small message limit to even start a case, and then there's no submit button. How is it that this company is still in business?

The wort company I have ever dealt with…

The wort company I have ever dealt with online!
Only online support that runs you in circles and doesn’t find facts or answers!
No Phone support
I am a florist and certainly could not run a business like this
They are unapproachable
Would give them a zero if I could
Jay Jensen
I pulled all accounts to another company with phone support!

Awful...

I am compelled to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service I have received from this company. The experience has been nothing short of frustrating and unacceptable.
Delayed Response Times
The response time from customer support has been alarmingly slow. It has taken weeks for them to get back to us, which is completely inadequate for any business seeking timely assistance.
Lack of Accountability
Instead of taking responsibility for their system issues, the support team continuously pushes the burden onto us, the customers. Our website has been down for over two weeks now, and despite our repeated requests for help, we have received little to no assistance.
Ineffective Communication Channels
The live chat feature is consistently non-functional, rendering it useless when immediate support is needed. Additionally, the email response system is painfully slow, with no one responding within a 24-hour timeframe. This lack of effective communication is unacceptable.
Conclusion
Overall, the service provided has been woefully inadequate, leading to significant operational disruptions and frustration. I strongly advise potential customers to reconsider their options before engaging with this company. Immediate improvements are necessary for them to regain any semblance of credibility in customer service.

0 stars!

Another company that cant be arsed to employ humans to help solve the technical issues they are responsible for. Literally have no choice as Google have sold them my domain. My emails now don't work and low and behold. YOU CAN'T TALK TO A HUMAN! I really hate where the world is going in terms of this "customer service" its lazy and frustrating!

google should have never sold their domains to Squarespace, they are the worst company I have ever had to deal with and clearly others agree, get your domain of godaddy or somewhere else, Squarespace charge far more than anyone else and there back office systems are sh1t!!

Avoid at all costs.

No support - service is slow and any changes and updates take up to 72 to be recognized - it should be 20min max 24hrs. It takes days to get a response and then you are in a blackhole - I have finished with them and intend to move away from the service on the next holiday break as it's impossible - save yourself a headache don't touch this company.

Avoid at any cost - better alternatives are everywhere

Appalling service who make it deliberately almost impossible to contact their support, showing absolutely no regard for their customers. When there are so many competent alternatives out there, I’d highly recommend leaving this dying corpse of a company to continue rotting into insignificance.

It's so bad

It's so bad.
Things like copy and paste become insane. You end up just dragging round the text section. But you best believe when you want to drag something it won't move.

It's great to design on but I you want to actually put info on the website geeeezzzzzz this ain't the website for you.

If your a small business... like my small massage business I would 100% try to use anything else.

It says date of experience... iv been experiencing this for years!!! They trap you.

Unbelievably bad. I will be leaving

Today I tried to buy a new email address for my business website. This should be a normal easy thing to do? Oh no! Squarespace have removed access to my other Google Workspace. I cannot access any of my files, email, calendar etc. all I wanted was a new email. I didn't want Squarespace to destroy my ability to do anything today. I've messaged and no reply so far, it's been many hours now. Squarespace didn't even set up the new email address, and I'm just stuck in limbo. There's no live chat and there's no contact number. If you leave it much longer you'll have this angry customer flying to Dublin tomorrow banging on your office door SORT IT OUT!

Their corporate logo should be the 'shrug' emoji.

Echoing what else has been written here. The worst support I have ever received from a tech company...and that's saying something. Regret choosing them to build my site. They have great designs but that's it. I am from a tech background and wanted something quick and easy. What a mess! I created a simple one-page site with a contact form. Google will not verify it for my business, even though built-in Squarespace. No responsibility, support queries are answered with links. 'award-winning customer support' - is a joke. The domain is registered elsewhere..Dreamhost - their support exceeded my expectations even doing some of Squarespace's job for them. But nothing from Squarespace. Their corporate logo should be the 'shrug' emoji.

As a website designer, I've built 82 websites in Squarespace and love it.

As a website designer, I've been using Squarespace since 2011 and love it. I've built 82 sites for clients and it continues to be the best website builder. On the rare occasion I've had to use customer service, it is always extremely prompt. For example, today a client accidentally purchased the Business Plan instead of the Personal Plan. Squarespace responded within one hour and the refund is on its way. Their support forums and help videos are always up to date and the forum community is incredible. I've used both Wordpress and Wix in the past (as have many of my clients) and they all say they prefer Squarespace because it's so user friendly.

Total wrip offs

Total wrip offs, you pay you can’t even get a mere cent worth of what you pay for. Customer care and support always instructing you how to resolve your issues. Website gets deactivated soon you cancel subscription even though it expires three weeks ahead. Can’t get simple things done like deleting users. Do not waste your money .

Horrible

Horrible. Unfortunately, the company I work for decided to use Squarespace and they don't want to switch, so I'm stuck working with it, but the amount of issues is insane. They advertise it as user friendly, but it is absolutely not. Making it responsive is also insanely difficult and not user friendly at all. Instead of them making possible to actuall adapt things to different screens, primarily mobile, they just mess up your whole design. You also cannot actually do ANY changes to the design between desktop and mobile version except moving things around, which creates a horrible mobile version, unless you spend about 10x the time to make it somewhat feasible, but even then it won't look as it is supposed to. Even in the main design, you cannot make it look the way you want because their grids are idiotic, definitely not made by anyone with any experience in UX/UI or with functional web design in mind. They even managed to mess up doing SEO. And it's slow to load (despite the barely few photos on the website being uploaded in the correct quality instead of them being too big). So if you want potential customers/clients to close your website before it even loads, and those that do decide to stay not being guided through the website functionally, by all means, use Squarespace. If you want a functional website, no or rare problems which are easily resolvable, stick to Wrodpress and your builder of choice.

Really pox domain management. Look elsewhere.

Having been forced to move to Squarespace from Google Domains means I now get to experience, first hand, how awful the domain management features are, especially for many sites.

Really difficult experience trying to do simple tasks like bulk update payment methods.

Support is slow and non existent despite their claims of it being fabulous. Far from it.

Will be moving to CloudFlare as soon as more TLDs are supported.
