Cardi B is having quite the week. On Thursday, a day after once again filing for divorce from Offset, she revealed that she’s pregnant and expecting her third child.
“With every ending comes a new beginning!” Cardi captioned photos of herself she posted on Thursday cradling her baby bump. “It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”
The divorce filing comes amid a fresh spell of rumors that Offset had cheated on Cardi. A rep for Cardi told “Page Six” she’s seeking primary custody of their two children, Kulture and Wave. Another source told “Page Six” the rappers have simply “grown apart.” Cardi had previously filed for divorce from Offset in September 2020 amid rumors of his cheating, but she changed her mind two months later because she said she felt like he “wanted to change.”
Cardi and Offset met in 2016 and were secretly married a year later. They have described each other as best friends and shared many cute moments together. But their marriage has been tumultuous, checkered by fights, breakups, and accusations of infidelity. In 2018, they welcomed their daughter, Kulture, but by the end of that year, Cardi said she and Offset “grew out of love” and were breaking up. A few months later, they surprised fans when they attended the Grammys together. They have since broken up and gotten back together again, and in September 2021, they welcomed a son, Wave.
In December, Cardi revealed that she and Offset were again separated and that she had been single “for a minute now.” At the time, she said she was ready for the breakup because she was “curious for a new life, for a new beginning.” In announcing her third pregnancy, she struck a similarly positive note, saying the baby has already reminded her that she “can have it all.”
