When Auditors arrive onsite to conduct a Social Compliance Audit, please request to see their APSCA Digital Membership Card. You can scan the QR Code and verify LIVE; their identity, APSCA Number, Level and Membership Status. Please do NOT accept screenshots of the card and ensure you are viewing the image live in their profile.

APSCA Membership Number
Unique identification number that is assigned to every auditor who has fully enrolled with APSCA via a Member Audit Firm. The number is specific to the individual auditor and will never be re-assigned to another person. The Auditor’s Membership Number is unique to the auditor and may only be used when conducting an audit on behalf of an APSCA Member Firm. This Membership Number remains with the auditor throughout one’s career. For additional guidance, see our Use of APSCA Member Number – Guide.
Associate Social Compliance
Auditor (ASCA)
Associate Social Compliance Auditor, is enrolled with APSCA, gaining experience under the supervision/ guidance of a CSCA. Has signed APSCA’s Code of Professional Conduct.
Registered Auditor
(RA)
Experienced social compliance auditor who is currently going through the CSCA examination process, with a minimum of 1 year experience and 100+ social compliance audit days, or a minimum of 2 years’ experience and 50+ social compliance audit days and 100 other type of audit days which include management system, health and safety, labor inspections, investigations, audit components. Has signed APSCA’s Code of Professional Conduct. (Note: RA Level was phased out on 1 October 2023 and all RA level auditors were moved to ASCA)
Certified Social Compliance
Auditor (CSCA)
Experienced Social Compliance Auditor who has completed the CSCA process. Has signed APSCA’s Code of Professional Conduct.
Member Auditor Status Policy
In Good Standing
An APSCA Member Auditor who has:
Lapsed
Member Auditor may be moved to the status of ‘Lapsed’ for not meeting or complying with one (or more) of the following conditions. These are not limited to:
Note: If the Member Auditor is moved to ‘Lapsed’ their Membership Status will show ‘Lapsed’ and their APSCA Auditor Level will be moved to ‘ASCA’
Expired
An APSCA Member Auditor who has been in the ‘Lapsed’ status for 24+ months will be moved to the status of ‘Expired’ and their Auditor Level removed.
Suspended
An APSCA Member Auditor who has been through APSCA’s disciplinary process and given the sanction of suspended by the Disciplinary Board (DBMA) due to an ethical issue(s). Member Auditors within this category are eligible for reinstatement at the end of their suspension period and upon successfully closing to the satisfaction of the DBMA.
Note: If the Member Auditor is moved to ‘Suspended’ their Membership Status will show ‘Suspended’ and their APSCA Auditor Level will be moved to ‘ASCA’.
Not In Good Standing
An APSCA Member Auditor who has been sanctioned due to an ethical issue determined by the DBMA.
Note: If the Member Auditor is moved to ‘Not In Good Standing’ their Membership Status will show ‘Not In Good Standing’ and their APSCA Auditor Level will be removed.
Note: An APSCA Member Auditor whose status has moved to ‘Lapsed’, ‘Expired’, ‘Suspended’ or ‘Not In Good Standing’ is unable to:
Note: An Auditor with any APSCA Membership status is expected to abide by the APSCA Code and Standards of Professional Conduct.
Inactive
An APSCA Member who fulfils the requirements of membership, however, is not actively operating as a social compliance auditor can submit an application to request to be moved to ‘Inactive’.
