I haven't heard this show, so if anybody can help out...
Why is there only _one_ track (Playin') from this show on the 5-disc GDM soundtrack? It's an absolutely incredible version.

Officially released on DVD as "Grateful Dead Movie."

I have fond memories of this show, the first of the Dead's 5 night 'retirement' run at Winterland. Jerry was on fire this night, the band working on all cylinders. Ned and Phil's Seastones started the 2nd set with an electronic outer space jam. Beautiful women danced onstage for much of the 2nd set. For some unknown reason, this show was not well represented on the GDM soundtrack. Only Playin' was included. Scarlet Begonias from this show is a bonus track on the re-mastered Mars Hotel. A prime show from the Dead's peak period which I've always wished would see the light of day as it's own release.

I have all but three shows from '74. No joke, i listened to it chronologically and, it's amazing, i'm three shows away from the "end" of their career. This year is when they said fuckit, let's just see what happens. If anyone wants this year to listen to the magic as i am, Murphdog420@gmail.com.
Also, send instructions as to how to compress these shows down for email on a mac, i am a bit of an artard, but i would love to share this year with anyone who will have it. Most are sound boards with AUD intwerludes where i suppose the original tape was damaged.
