PROBLEM STATEMENT
When buying locally, there are various limitations and flaws in the offerings. Many obstacles must be overcome
when making a purchase at a local market, including the item's size or availability, the stores to visit, pricing
differences, and the quality of the goods. By evaluating end user behavior and a variety of environmental data in
order to foresee the end user's demands, scenario aims to make better use of information about the end user to
enhance the quality of interaction. In order to assist a shopping job while shopping at a mall, a Global Positioning
System (GPS)-enabled information gathering app needs to be aware of the shopper's actual location. Customers tell
the system what they want to buy. The system then alerts customers to the availability of things of interest to them
available in the stores nearby as well as any less expensive local alternatives as they stroll around a mall. The user's
location is an essential piece of information that can both guide and limit the work of information collecting. The
use of location information is now required by both businesses and consumers to increase the efficiency of shoppers.
SOLUTION AND DESCRIPTION
Our local product recommendation app is designed to help users make more informed shopping decisions by providing
personalized recommendations based on their preferences and behavior. The app collects data about user preferences,
such as their favorite brands, styles, and colors, and uses that information to recommend products that match their
preferences.
In addition to personalized recommendations, the app also incorporates location-based recommendations, using the user's
geolocation data to recommend nearby retailers or restaurants. Users can also share their favorite products and
recommendations with their social networks, and the app provides a platform for user reviews and ratings.
From a technical perspective, the app involves a front-end user interface that collects user data and displays product
recommendations, as well as a back-end server that stores and analyzes that data. We use a combination of technologies,
such as natural language processing (NLP) to interpret user input, machine learning algorithms to analyze user behavior,
and geolocation APIs to provide location-based recommendations.
To build the app, we worked with a team of developers, designers, and data scientists who have experience with the
necessary technologies. They used tools such as Python, TensorFlow, and AWS to build and deploy the app. They also
designed a robust data architecture that can store and analyze large amounts of user data.
Overall, we believe our local product recommendation app has the potential to make a real impact on users' lives by
streamlining the shopping process and providing personalized recommendations. We're excited to see how users respond
to the app and will continue to refine and improve it based on user feedback.
PROGRESS MADE IN PROTOTYPE
DEVELOPMENT
The prototype is already produced, however it might take a month
to finish the implementation stage.
STARTUP
A local product recommendation app is a promising startup idea that has the
potential to revolutionize the way people shop and discover products in their local
communities. This app would be designed to provide users with personalized
recommendations for products and services based on their preferences, past
purchases, and location.
By leveraging data analytics and machine learning algorithms, the app can analyze
user behavior and provide them with relevant and personalized recommendations
for local products, services, and events. This can help users discover new products,
support local businesses, and save time and money by avoiding irrelevant
recommendations.
Moreover, the app can offer a platform for small and medium-sized businesses to
promote their products and services to a wider audience. This can help boost the
local economy and create more job opportunities.
INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTION
4. Potential Chances of Commercialization
There are good chances of commercialization for a local product recommendation app, as it has the potential to
generate revenue through various sources such as advertising, affiliate marketing, and sponsored content.
One potential revenue stream is advertising, where retailers can pay to have their products featured on the app or
to have targeted ads displayed to users based on their preferences and behavior.
Another potential revenue stream is affiliate marketing, where the app can earn a commission for every purchase
made through the app's recommendations or links. Sponsored content is also a possibility, where retailers can pay
to have their products featured in the app's recommendations or to have sponsored posts and articles published
on the app.
In addition to these revenue streams, the app can also provide valuable data insights to retailers and businesses,
which can be used to improve their products and services and to better understand their customers.
