What is Bitmap Graphics ?
Bitmap Graphics
• Bitmap graphics, also
known as raster graphics,
are digital images
composed of a grid of
pixels.
• Pixels: The smallest unit
of digital information that
makes up an images,
represented by a tiny
square of color.
What is Vector
Graphics?
Vector Graphics
• Vector graphics are digital
images composed of paths,
curves, and shapes defined
by mathematical equations.
• Defined by mathematical
Equations means that the
shapes, curves, and lines
that make up the graphics
are described using
mathematical formulas
Difference
Between
Bitmap Graphics are Pixels Based whereas Vector
Graphics are based on Mathematical Calculation
Raster Images are made up of Pixels where as Vector Images
are made up of elements (Text, Lines, Curves, Shapes)
Since Raster based images are pixel based, the quality of images
deteriorates after zooming in whereas vector images are based on
mathematical calculations that’s why even after zooming I or
enlarging them, their quality maintain remains.
Raster images also have a larger file size whereas even after
the quality of vector images is good their file size is small.
For Example:
• To Create Raster Images Softwares like Photoshop , Corel Painter
are used.
• To Create Vector Graphics Softwares like Adobe illustrator, Corel
Draw are used.
• Bitmap Graphics File Formats: .jpeg, .tiff, .png, .psd
• Vector Graphics File Formats: .ai, .cdr, .eps, .svg
When to use Raster
Graphics?
• Photographic Images
• Web Images
• Digital art
When to use Vector
Graphics?
• Print Designs
• Logos and Branding

Image Vs Movie
Content
• Image
• Movie
• Key Difference
Image
• Static: Images are still, two-
dimensional representations.
• Single frame: Images consist of
a single frame or snapshot.
• No motion: Images do not
convey motion or change over
time.
• File size: Typically smaller file
sizes compared to movies.
Movie
1.Dynamic: Movies are moving,
two-dimensional
representations.
2.Multiple frames: Movies consist
of multiple frames displayed in
rapid succession.
3.Conveys motion: Movies convey
motion, change, and storytelling
over time.
4.File size: Typically larger file
sizes compared to images.
Key Difference
1.Motion: Movies have motion, while
images do not.
2.Frames: Movies consist of multiple
frames, while images are single
frames.
3.Storytelling: Movies can tell stories
and convey complex ideas, while
images are limited to a single
message or representation.
4.Engagement: Movies can be more
engaging and immersive than
