PROBLEM & DESIGN SOLUTION
Explanation of Pain Point and Solution
In times of Pandemic, It is required to keep ourselves sanitized at all times
especially while visiting places frequented by large number of people in likes of
workplace or Public galleries. The best possible way to ensure proper sanitation
is by providing “Hand Sanitizer” to the visitors in order to avoid the risk of Virus
transmission. The major requirements are
 The container should not be physically contacted to discharge sanitizer
 Should be easy to use without any assistance

Design Solution
The Automatic hand sanitizer Vending machine is very
helpful in solving the problem since

 Touch free and operated with sensors

 Right mount is discharged which prevents wastage

 Can be mounted on walls or floor with tripod

 LED lights to indicate discharge

Detailed study
Affordance -
Good
The system features a visual representation on how to use and
users will not have any misconceptions of the product. Thus,

how to use the
System Consistency -
Good
The design is similar to Water Vending Machine and the
hand wash taps that use sensor. The systems requires users
to place hand or cups beneath the outlet to receive the
output
Mapping – Not
Good
The product doesn’t have any feature that aides in product
mapping
Constraints – Good
The instruction limit actions on the system providing physical
contraints

warning by red lamp
Feedback -
Good
The LED Lamps are a good feedback system that helps in
understanding the outcome (discharge) and operating
environment (low on liquid)
