Circular Flow of Macroeconomic:
The circular flow model shows how
money moves from producers to
households and back again in an
endless loop Analyzing the circular
flow model and its current impact on
GDP can help governments and central
banks adjust monetary and fiscal policy
to improve an economy.
GDP:
* GDP is the total market value of all
final goods and services that
produce an economy during a given
period. In 2022 Tanzania GDP is
projected 62 billion USD.
• To calculate GDP we have to focus
on Real GDP, Nominal GDP,
GDP per Capita and GDP Growth
Rate .

Tanzania GNI for 2020
was $62.38B, a 0.4% increase
from 2019. Tanzania GIN for
2019 was $62.14B, a 10.27%
increase from 2018. Tanzania
GIN for 2018 was $56.35B, a
9.51% increase from 2017.
Tanzania GIN for 2017 was
$51.46B, a 2.78% increase
from 2016.
Tanzania Economic
Growth
In 2020, the real GDP of
Tanzania grew by 4.8%
reaching USD 64.4 billion
versus USD 60.8 billion
in 2019. This growth
made it the 2nd largest
economy in East Africa
after Kenya, and the 7th
largest in Sub-Saharan
Africa.
Inflation:
• Tanzania inflation rate for
2012 was 16%.
• In 2020 was 3.29% but it
increased to 3.9% in 2021.
• Now, in 2022 inflation
rate is 3.4%.
Unemployment and wage :
• Tanzania unemployment rate for
2020 was 2.16%, a 0.2% increase
from 2019.
• Tanzania's yearly minimum wage is
$1,593.00 in International Currency.
Monetary Policy of Tanzania :
The primary objective of the monetary policy is to maintain price
stability, which is defined as low and stable inflation rate over time. The
medium-term target is set at 5 percent. This target is consistent with EAC
and SADC convergence criteria of 8 percent (set as maximum) and 3 -
7.0 percent, respectively
