1. Installation of generator set
1) Hoisting precautions of generator set
There are two rings on both sides of the common chassis of
the diesel generator set for lifting the diesel generator set,
and steel cables with appropriate length and lifting capacity
must be used when lifting, and the unit is basically horizontal
when lifting.

• 1. After ramming the hard soil, prefabricate a minimum 200mm
thick concrete structural foundation on the hard soil. The ground
should be flat.The dimensions around the concrete foundation
shall be at least 30cm beyond the outermost side of the generator
set
• 2. When the user is building the machine room, the I-steel for
lifting should be embedded on the roof above the unit for later
maintenance.

• 3. There should be sufficient maintenance and inspection
space around the unit, and there should be at least 1 meter
space around the unit.
• 4. Sewage tank around the unit boss, the specification is
100X60mm, laying sewage tank should be 1-2 degrees of
inclination, the generator side is slightly higher than the
diesel engine side.

• 5. The exhaust Windows of the equipment room are glass doors
and Windows, exhaust shutters, and barbed wire. The glass
doors and Windows are opened outwards and fixed before the
machine runs; The exhaust shutter can be opened manually, and
the louver direction is downward. The mesh size of the wire
mesh is not greater than 20X20mm.
• 6. When installing the unit, the damping rubber pad must be
installed between the metal common chassis of the unit and the
ground, and the thin iron sheet must be used to level the
damping rubber pad and the public chassis.

4) Installation of ground cables and connection of load cables
• 1. The grounding wire of the diesel generator set itself has been connected when
the equipment is delivered.
• 2. At the installation site, connect the diesel generator set to the system grounding
body
• 3. Determine the cable length based on the actual cable routing, select a proper
wiring terminal based on the cable diameter of the load cable, and press the wiring 接负载电缆 Load cable

terminal at the air switch of the unit in the order of U, V, W and N of the three-

4) 1. The user can choose the YJV type cable, in the rated voltage
0.6KV/1KV line.
• 2. Because the foreign units have a variety of voltage levels, the
rated current of the unit is used to select the cable diameter.
• 3. It is recommended that over 800A, the cable is configured
according to 1mm² through the current not more than 2A. If
multiple cables need to be connected in parallel, select cables with
the same diameters.

2. Pre-star t check
1.Check the lubrication system:
 Whether the oil level is sufficient;
 ；
 Check the oil type as requirements of user manual;
 The unit has oil leakage;
 After filling and standing for 5 minutes, observe the oil level, and the
oil level should be in the dipstick scale to 2/3 of the upper scale.

2.check the cooling system:
 There is no leakage in the water tank;
 Whether the coolant level is sufficient;
 Cooling water is clean;
 Use Weichai special coolant or achieve the standard of ASTM6120.

damaged;
 Whether each drive belt wheel is in coaxiality.

5 、 Check battery status and cable connections:
 Whether the battery voltage is normal;
 Whether the battery wire connector is firm;
 Whether the battery wiring is correct;
 Storage batteries should be stored in a dry, clean, well-ventilated room at
5 to 25 degrees Celsius, and should not be exposed to direct sunlight.

6.Unit starting sequence:
 Check that the load switch of the unit is off before starting, to
prevent starting with load;
 Confirm that the switch of the governor is in the idle position;
 Turn on the battery switch and the power switch of the control
panel, and start manually through the unit control panel;
 Idling operation, observe the surrounding and three leakage
conditions of the unit, and check the parameters of the unit
control panel;
 Raise the rating, check the parameters and load conditions, and
close the load.
