"IOT Based Water Pollution Monitoring RC Boat": Prepared by

This document describes an IOT-based water pollution monitoring RC boat project. The project aims to build an RC boat equipped with sensors to measure water quality parameters like pH, temperature etc. and transmit the real-time data wirelessly to a smartphone. The boat will use an Arduino/NodeMCU microcontroller along with sensors, an L298N motor driver, GPS and WiFi modules. It will allow low-cost, real-time water quality monitoring to overcome limitations of traditional methods. The document outlines the system requirements, methodology, design, expected results and time schedule for the project.

PROBLEM
STATEMENT
• The traditional water quality monitoring system has certain drawbacks.
• Testing and analysis in lab.
• More cost ,more man power and more time.
• Lacks Real time data collection .
PROJECT
OBJECTIVE
• Build the exterior of the boat with motors for forward and propulsion and servo
motor for steering.
• connection between sensors and microcontroller.
• Send output wirelessly to a smartphone.
SIGNIFICANCE OF
PROJECT
SYSTEM
REQUIREMENTS
Arduino Uno
Probably using R3 version

Arduino NANO
Probably using Version 3

NodeMCU
Using ESP8266

6-20V

Here, 12V and 9V

Why?
• Uno writes to SD card
• Nano is smaller, cheaper
• NodeMcu has Wi-Fi but only 1 analog pin
Sensors
• Analog output from 0 - 4.5 V
GPS Module
• Standard NMEA0183 output format
NRF24I01 Transceiver
• Transfer, receive via RF
• 2.4GHz Band
Joystick Module

• 2.5V resting, varies from 0-5V

Motors
• 12V DC motor and 4.8 ~ 6.6 V servo motor
• Servo motor has more torque, less speed.
L298N motor driver
• 12 V operating motor, Arduino gives 5v output
• motor driver amplifies, low to high current signal
Others

• Propeller Rudder

• Battery
• Capacitors
• Jumper Wires
• PCB and Breadboards
