ANALYSIS
The goal of any school is to educate children
about life, the world, and their purpose in it.
Christian education seeks to teach children
about the world God created, how our faith
is woven into each area of learning, and how
to find purpose and meaning through God’s
Will for our life. They believe that only
through an understanding of God, His Word,
and His works, can we know truth and show
His love to those around us.
ST. JEROME’S ACADEMY MORONG, RIZAL

Jesus where he live as a teacher to teach the

JESUS AS A GREAT TEACHER
WHO IS JESUS?
During the reign of Augustus Caesar when there was Roman peace (Pax
Romana) in almost all of Rome's dominions, Jesus Christ was born in the
little town of Bethlehem. Christ is the Greek name for "Messiah." Jesus was
supposed to have been born 4 B.C. of Jewish parents. About thirty year
later, he started his preaching that last three years. Jesus was probably
taught by his parents at home and attended religious services in the
synagogue, a place for Jewish worship. Jesus never attended school and
never wrote a book but his preaching's exerted the greatest influence upon
the course of human history.

should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3;16). It is an important aim of Jesus to save men
from eternal damnation. During the time of Jesus in early Christianity, what Christians believe about
salvation?
A. Early Christians were divided over salvation theories, just as they are today. Some of them
believed Jesus came to save us from God's wrath, some of them believed Jesus came to free us
from the Devil, and others believed that Jesus came to set a good moral example for everyone to
follow.
B. From the very beginning, Christians have always agreed that Jesus came to save us from the
wrath of God. God the Father is angry at us because we have sinned, and we deserve to be
punished forever in Hell. But instead of punishing us, God punished His Son on the cross, so that
we could go to Heaven.
C. In the early centuries, Christians believed that Christ's main purpose was to live a life of love,
and to set a good example for us to follow.
D. The Early Church believed that mankind was in bondage to the
Devil, and that Jesus came in order to destroy the works of the
Devil. When Jesus died and rose from the dead, He conquered
Death, Hell, and the Devil, and Christ's victory has made it possible
for us to enter Heaven.
