• Content Filtering Software helps block access to web content and incoming content such as Email

• It is Part of an Internet Firewall

• The Software also screens executable files that install new software in the system

• Content filters used to protect the people and systems browsing the internet.

TYPES OF CONTENT FILTRATION

• Server-side filtration
Server-side content filters manage web traffic for every user of a specific network. 

• Client-side filtration
A client-side content filter is installed on the end user’s system. However, the end-user may not be able to
modify or uninstall it.

• ISP-level filtration
The ISP can filter inappropriate web traffic as well as monitor chat and emails.

• Search engine filtration


Search engines will only display results that are in line with company policy

• Barracuda provides on-premise, virtual, and cloud-based options.

• It offers spyware, Malware and Virus Protection

Core Features: 
o Scalability: It provides a scalable solution.

o Compatibility: WSG provides appliance, virtual, and SaaS deployment options.

o Growing database: It leverages intelligence from thousands of collection points worldwide.

o Ease of maintenance: Barracuda’s dashboard gives a complete insight into user activity and network threats.

Administrators can create effective policies and generate proactive alerts.


o Reporting: It supports integrated reporting with the dashboard. Users can also deploy a Barracuda Reporting Server. 
DNS Filter:
• DNS Filter is an API-driven solution.

• It provides support for networks with dynamic IP addresses.

Core features:
o Scalability: DNSFilter operates on an intelligent, global anycast network, enabling it to automatically scale, heal,

and route requests to the most responsive location.


o Compatibility: Since it is API-driven, DNSFilter is flexible.

o Growing database: DNSFilter’s domain analysis uses Artificial Intelligence to identify malicious domains and

undesirable content in real-time.


o Ease of maintenance: Proprietary algorithms intelligently categorize sites to avoid the maintenance of a list of

domains.
o Reporting: It generates activity reports, security threats reports, billing reports, and query logs for easy maintenance.
Flashstart:
• Flashstart is a cloud-based gateway solution.

• Flashstart provides 24×7 support for internet filters in English, Spanish, and Italian languages.

o Compatibility: Flashstart is compatible with any router, HotSpot Wi-Fi, firewall, and gateway. It can integrate
