Successful planning and implementation are factors essential to the
delivery of the school's basic education services. They contribute to the
attainment of the three key component areas namely: every Filipino has
access to complete basic education, every graduate is prepared for further
education and the world of work, and every school has effective,
transparent, and collaborative governance of basic education (Coscos,
2016).
Significantly, the year-by-year plan for the Priority Improvement Areas (PIAs)
is the Annual Implementation Plan (AIP). It contains the specific activities,
outputs, required resources, schedule, and individual/s who will be
accountable for the said PIAs. This AIP undergoes the three phases (Assess,
Plan & Act) with each year’s implementation being checked for its progress
to ensure continuous improvement. The School Planning Team (SPT), with
the help of school stakeholders, shall ensure a “continuous improvement
cycle” so that the improvements done during implementation will be
further developed and enhanced (Pelayo, 2018).
