Contemporary Philippine theater is still active despite competition from other media. Major theater companies like Tanghalang Pilipino and the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) produce memorable annual productions. theatre groups to major theatre companies.
 The TANGHALANG PILIPINO and the PHILIPPINE
EDUCATIONAL EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION are
annually memorable productions.
