SEMANTIC ROLES New

Semantic roles describe the relationship between nouns and verbs in a sentence. There are 7 main semantic roles: agent, theme, instrument, experiencer, location, source, and goal. The agent performs the action, the theme is affected by the action, the instrument is used to perform the action, the experiencer receives sensory input, the location is where an entity is situated, the source is where motion is initiated, and the goal is where motion ends. Identifying semantic roles helps understand the meaning and structure of sentences.
