1 FrameDenture

A frame denture is a type of removable partial denture that has a metal framework. It is narrower and thinner than an acrylic denture, provides good tooth support, and helps keep the health of the gingival margins. The metal framework conducts heat well and is unbreakable. A frame denture can support teeth either through direct contact with the teeth or through supporting the surrounding mucosa and periodontal tissues.

Denture Supporting Tissue
1. Tooth Support
2. Mucosa Suport
3. Tooth-Mucosa Support
Tooth support advantages:
- Stretch periodontal fiber
- Periodontal fluid act as schock absorbent
- Neurve receptors: alarm system
- Periodontal tissue > wide than the mucosa
