BIG IDEA : The project deals with an advanced method of electricity distribution in a modern city with very efficient distribution and less chances of faults due to underground transmission .Keeping in mind about the non renewable sources which are limited in quantity the focus is also made on renewable energy sources so that the limited energy sources may be stored for future .The use of laser technology for security and alarms have been implemented in the project model. Apart from this we have also demonstrated the use of electricity for different purpose like bridge lifting ,pump stations etc and the most notable feature is that all the operations of the city are controlled from a single source to increase operational efficiency. HOW CAN THE IDEA BE BENEFICIAL: We know that the coal fired electricity that we get today in our homes, offices etc. are depleting and it is estimated that it is going to extend for a 36-37 years. So we need to plan something so as to save the resources as much as possible and use solar energy . Thus our project consists of solar panels that serves to supply electricity to the homes and the apartments.
All the distributions are made undeground along several planned channnels to keep out of reach of the common people and so that the dangers due to electrical contacts are reduced. Moreover India is a tropical country and experience s huge discrepancies in weather and rainfall and thunderstorms. Thus the distribuition line so wires can be saved from the affect of thunderstorms and seeping of rain water as all the connections are underground.
Another fact is that all the operations like bridge lifting ,pump stations, siganllings , household distribution are all controlled from a single or source substation that results in maintaining higher operational efficiencies and in case of any discrepancies the problem can be sorted out or detected from the source only. NUMBER OF PEOPLE IMPACTED The idea is just a model prototype . Many people have seen this prototype at different technical shows. The outcome is a good one. People have also suggested many change s that we wish to implement when working in reality. The project or maybe called a dream project can be a boon for the Indian society and thus uphold the living standards of people who use smart technology for their purposes.
Moreover security of the citizens also play a an important role. Such a construction with low risks would surely attract people and so it is the result as to why we have got a positive response from many persons from different sections of the society. RESOURCES REQUIRED: Obviously when you plan a city it requires a genuine command of the State Government for starting the work. Moreover prior to these we need a construction company which will do site planning and provide important technicians that will help in the process. Land is one of the important entity which is the most important of all and the advance funds that is required for clearance of the project. Apart from that the permission is also required from the State electricity board and the proposal for such an electrical planning should be placed between them. After their clearance the materials expenditure is to be calculated i.e the budget planning is done and then the materials is ordered. Advertisement is something that would inform pepole about the project and it should be such that it attracts people for spending a bump on that. After the project is completed it should be formulated for commisioning of the land. The tests include the Product verification and site delivery acceptance tests. RISK ISSUES AND MITIGATION PLAN: For formulating such a huge project it is necessary to use different sections of manpower. So it is something that cannot be neglected . So it is necessary to allow contracts to the technicians and labours working for the project which is to be deemed by a stable corporate company that will deal with the respective issue. Delays are an important factor that decides the fate of the project . So, the work must be completed as per dated schedule. In case of any failure the contract terms may be extended and the whole thing should be under the responsibility of the construction company. Moreover , security should be alloted during the constructional and well as non-constructional phases so as to save the theft of important devices and property of the city or arena. Political requirements as well as the community requirements should also be kept in mind. If some necesaary changes are required it shall be tried to be fulfiled maintaining the companies profit and financial matters. HOW CAN THE IDEA BE CONVERTED INTO REALITY: We have already made the working prototype but for the conversion of the idea into reality is a big deal ! So before forming a city we need acres of land to work on and then judge upon whether the part is commisionable or not . Apart from that we have to keep in mind about different entities like load growth , system stability and reliability . These are the factors on which the whole plan is dependant upon.
Determinations have to be made on the suitability of the designs and needs to be changed as per the requirements. Land costs is one of the factors that also detemine the quality and sustanibility in the real world. A prior calculation of the ballpark cost/average is needed prior before commisioning this process . Political factors at some instance s may also influence the project.
